He has been really good for us, especially with Hubbard in somewhat of a slump this season. Harris isn't afraid of the big moment either. He will shoot it with confidence every time

Check out his rebound numbers the last Cpl games. And he gets after it on defense. He has more length than hub or clary to cover taller guards.

Roberts as in Lawrence Roberts? I love Melendez and Harris but if you are talking about Lawrence Roberts they aren't in the same category.

Let's not forget, Roberts was All SEC 1st team and an AP National All American alongside guys like Emeka Okafor, Jameer Nelson, Josh Childress and Ryan Gomes. He led us to a 26-4 season as well. Melendez and Harris are really good and fit exactly the type players Jans needs but I can't put them on Lawrence Roberts level.

Trey Fort just never really got into the flow of the offense after those 1st couple big games he had. Hubb Shak and DeShawn were also ahead of him so that didnt help. For whatever reason it just didn't work out.

He is actually leading 12-3 Samford team in scoring with 15 ppg, 4 rpg, 44% from 3. Id still take Claudell Harris over him all day every day because he fits what Jans wants and needs...Fort is a solid player, he just didn't work out for us or fit

Good for him. Samford is a great school. And it’s a great level of basketball for Fort. But this is the SEC. Claudell is an SEC level player and Fort is not. We have so many weapon that can take over a game - Hubbard, Harris, Kugel, Melenedez, Murphy and Cam. How many teams can say that? Not many.

I also like the swagger, maturity and moxey Harris plays with.

The chemistry on this team is off the charts. I know someone that works on the team and I hear this as a big, big deal this year. They have the IT factor as well as talent. That will get you some hardware. It may be our year.

We gotta keep Jans; he is a winner.
