What are the packs resolutions for this year?

After a health scare late last year (final deal wasn't the best news but definitely far from the worst news), my biggest resolution is to try and cherish every day and those around me and not take any of them for granted. You never know when one of them or yourself won't be here any more.

My second resolution is to really expand my chase team's Skycam network. We currently have 8 active cameras which should expand up to 12 before the start of the spring severe weather season. At a minimum, I would like to double that number this year. When I wake up 365 days from now I'd like to have that number at 30. So if any of you have any ideas on fundraising tips please let me know. All of my ideas have gone over like turd in a punch bowl.

Eat less and exercise more. Or simply said; consume less chemicals and stay active. I am 74 and each year takes away something that was easy to do.

Not really resolutions but a lifestyle.

You never know when one of them or yourself won't be here any more. (copied and pasted from Starkvegasdawg because I went through a similar event)

2. Get healthy and lose some weight when I finally get my energy back.

3. Burn all of my vacation time with my toes in the water and ass in the sand instead of doctor visits.

Start a new diet. If it doesn't move on the plate, eat it.

For me, last year I worked out for an entire year. Before January 2024, the last time I ran a mile was about 24 years ago.
This year it is simple, one have one biscuit a week, one coke a day, burn 4000 calories a week doing something, spend more time just chilling out and relaxing.

Last year, I lost about 20 pounds and put on 12 pounds of muscle. This year I am looking to lose 40 pounds and put on another 12 pounds of muscle. Got to cut the stupid calories, and have some simple portion control.

Taking a break from alcohol a bit. This year I'm not paying for any alcohol until I at least reach my goal weight. (Went 214 -> 190 last year. Looking to get lean at 170).

Cutting out the junk food. No fast food until I'm below goal weight.

Cut out most toxic social media: Twitter, Reddit, Instagram. Want an average phone screen time below 4 hours. Those people aren't real.

Doing 5 km of walking everyday. Calling more people rather than keeping up with them through social media and doing those calls while walking makes walking go so much faster.

No video games on days I haven't done my 5 km yet. (Get off couch and do that first before picking up the controller.)

I started walking 10k every day by getting one of those walking pads and putting in front on the tv. Watch football, play a video game, etc you don?t even notice you?re doing it.

100% if I had the room in my living room setup for a treadmill that'd be the purchase. Luckily the gym I go to has TVs right with each treadmill and I just throw a game on while walking makes walking. Watched Rocky IV last night since the Sugar Bowl wasn't an option then lol

Look at the walking pads instead of treadmills. I just stand it up against the wall when I?m done it?s super light you just can?t run on them only walk

3.8 mph is my normal treadmill walking pace (gets 5km done in just under 50 min). Any brand you recommend for/against?

Yes like that. They are all cheap Chinese junk so just get whatever the cheapest one is and plan to replace every year when it breaks. Mine is still going strong but I think I paid $120 for it and def have gotten my money worth

I've found for myself setting 10 different goals means I usually hit at least 2-3. But really my goals are lose weight, improve mental health by not just staring at a screen, call friends and be more connected to those i care about. All the things on this tie together in service of those 3 goals and are somewhat things I do already. I just want to do them better and on more of a routine.

Go back to fasting and weights. Went from 240 to 195 then tore my hip flexor. Shouldn't have been chasing numbers like I was still in my 20s. Back at 225 now. Start a morning devotional every day for my 5 and 3 year old.
