Because Claudell was sucking wind and asked to come out. He and Hubbard have nobody to spell them. That?s why kugel, Cam and Melendez are all playing some point forward.

That's not why. We have an 8 man rotation w/o Russell

so should jans have left claudell in when he raised his finger and pointed? I'll hang up and listen

I vote we don?t play SWAC teams anymore. Lately they all play us close and drop our NET big. We will probably fall into the low 20s after this

Exactly! Just because we are 8 deep doesn’t mean squat. We have zero guards to spell Hubbard and Harris and that could give us some trouble in the SEC.

Playing any of them is dumb, but if we must, at least be an in-state swac school to help em out.

Do I really need to spell it out? We have Hubb, Harris, Kugel, RJ and Jones at the 1-3. Cam even runs PF. We have plenty of guys to spell Harris. Same as the last 5 games. Geez.
RockyDog

Jones can’t guard their perimeter guys. That’s why the lack of a bench guard hurts.

A damn SWAC team is blowing by and getting to the rim whenever they want. You keep telling yourself that we are fine at the guard spot behind Hubbard and Harris

We're playing down to them defensively.

Defense forgot to dress out tonight. When they do play defense they foul. And foul. And foul.

Kugel and Melendez do not get back after scoring. Clary not available hurts. Is he out for the year? Is it Moultrie Knee?

This is a troubling pattern about this team. Subpar half performance against a subpar team, this time defensively. Just cannot have this in conference play.

I don't think our defense is that big of a deal. Coming off a big road win and playing a SWAC school right before a grueling conference schedule. We'll win this game big and be ready for SC Saturday.

I hate these types of games but don't look at Bethune Cookman's record and think they suck. They only lost by 5 at Nebraska and played Virginia close all game, they were up 3 midway through the 2nd half @ Virginia until VA pulled away late. They aren't afraid of us.
I hate scheduling these types games because they don't help us but can really hurt us.

He's shooting 40.4% from 3 this season which is is up from 35.5% last year

I don't think we've played as hard as we should have tonight, but BC is playing well. They're shooting 45% from 3 while only shooting 30% for the season.

He has no doubt been in a slump the last few weeks. The first few weeks of the season where he shot out of his mind skews the overall percentage.

Think we have to be careful about being overly fan apologetic about these subpar performances. Just have to hope we'll rebound with a Memphis type performance in conference play.

One small sample you throw out in favor of another small sample. I think the whole sample is the better sample, but whatever.
ETA.. I'm not concerned about hubbard's shooting one bit. His ball handling is the only thing to be concerned about imo

His problem is he always starts of 0-5 of 0-6 till he warms up. Right now he is 4-13, 1-8 3s and 7-7 FT

I'm officially a little worried about Hubbs shooting. Playing the point is definitely a part of it. He's also changed he's body- hopefully that's not a part of it.

I thought teams had been playing good defense on Hubbard lately but he's missed quite a few good looks tonight. I'd like to see him hit some 3s early on Saturday.

Well he is 1-9 at the 3 but 7-7 at the FT. He needs to drive the dam ball take the dam foul and get his points. He only has 2 assists. That needs to change.

We won by 14, I'll take it. Nothing is easy in College Basketball, that's why we see upsets every week. But I won't lie, Im a little concerned about Josh Hubbard's shooting. I do like Melendez, Kugel and even Harris. We didn't have these types of guys in the past.
