I'm so glad that they are about to move on to the NFL. I'm so sick of getting ESPN updates for their normal plays blasted as "unreal".
I can't be the only one that thinks that Shadeur is the most overrated player in college football and both of them will be NFL busts.

Travis Hunter is the real deal. He is an unbelievable athlete, though Jeanty should have won the Heisman. I think Shedeur will be a bust.

He's an elite college athlete but not good enough at either position to prosper in the NFL. Forbes was a better corner.

BYU manhandled them on both sides of the ball. Colorado soft, soft, soft. Sheduer won't make it in the nfl.

I love Forbes, but he is not Travis Hunter. Forbes was cut by the commanders mid season.

I like a lot of your takes but this isn’t one of them. You’re trying to make it a race issue and it’s not one.
To claim it’s a “old Mississippi” thing is weak sauce. I’m willing to bet the majority of the country feels the same way because it’s Deions personality, not his skin color that turns people off.

Call it what you want. However, the things people hate about him are the things he's authentically himself about. Half of the great things he does are overlooked because of his cultural personality which people hate. People expect and even demand he acts a certain way because his counterparts do. Yes, it's good Ole Mississippi at its finest. There's a BIG reason he connects with players and a certain dynamic. And certain people hate he's doing it his cultural way. UNAPOLOGETICALLY

Here's the deal. It's about the constant fellating by the national media. In 2022 both Northwestern and Colorado had 1-11 records. In 2023 Northwestern went 8-5 and won a bowl game. A MUCH bigger turnaround than Colorado going 4-8 but all we heard was how Colorado was the King Shit because of their 3 game turnaround. Then, last night they were praising them for making a bowl game after being picked 11th in the conference pre-season. Guess they forgot that the team picked last in that same poll is actually in the playoffs. Also, I'm willing to bet that we were picked next to last in the SEC in over half of our bowl appearance seasons so what is the big accomplishment that warrants praise?
So yes, he has started to right the ship there but there are other programs/coaches who have done just as much who don't get mentioned during every halftime of ESPN games.

Colorado is soft. Shedeur physically is not soft, but mentally is very weak. I don't think he makes it in the NFL either, but it is hard to dismiss being brought up in that culture literally since the day you were born with the best trainers/coaches available to you your entire life. He might be the super rare exception that has all the physical tools but not the mental makeup for the NFL and still somehow is good.

I mean, what do you expect them to do? It's annoying yes, but if you ran a business you would also prioritize what makes you money and impacts your bottom line.

Yeah kind of similar, but his family is a lot more in the background. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the Manning family is holding a lot of power there, but they seem to keep it fairly quiet + obviously his dad is not the head coach. I think Shedeur and Arch are both elite talents, can make every throw in the book, both mobile (Arch bit more dangerous here) and have had elite coaching and training their entire lives since literally they could walk. That is such a massive advantage that can't be discounted. If Sanders is mature enough to shake the noise/media/bad games he will have; then I think he has everything else needed to be an NFL QB. That's just asking a ton from a 21 year old but again, he has a ton of advantages others will not have.
With Arch, I mean you saw what happened with Eli.. The Manning family is quiet until they are not. I imagine if this board was around back then, it would have been quite decisive but in the end he was fine. I imagine Arch will get similar preferential treatment, and again if he can handle the mental side of it will be fine.

Travis Hunter will be a pro bowl corner or wide out depending on which he focuses on. I'm sure NFL teams want him as corner with quality wide outs being more common

His ball tracking skills are absolutely elite. Like some of the best I've seen, but his route running is pretty mediocre. I think he has all pro year 1 potential at CB but I bet he wants to play WR in the NFL so he can make more. I don't think he's more than a WR2/3 guy as of now

This is really accurate. Being coached by his father hurt him tremendously imo. If he goes to the raiders he's doomed. If the giants draft him I think he'll be ok until he finds his footing.

You have made multiple posts insinuating these things throughout the years. You know it's true. I'm not wasting my time looking them up as I've never done that before. You have this mentality that since we're from Mississippi, we are racists. Stop being a victim. I've lived all over the country and have always looked forward to getting back to Mississippi with "my people" and where I feel at home. My people aren't made up of any color.
I apologize for snapping and being an ass, but your post triggered me. I hate that bullshit mentality.

You don't know my mentality and you don't know me. I'm born and raised in Mississippi and experienced things you've never been apart of. However, I am not a victim. I do know stupidity and underlying impartiality when I see it. If you're bothered that I'll speak up when I see it I could care less. I too get triggered by the old mindset of those calling themselves victims and those that still victimize.

I actually like Deion. I love some of the things that he does. But his "stars" are overhyped media darlings like Lebrons son. Heck you can tell that Shedeaur is a spoiled brat without looking hard - he's caleb Williams with less talent. Johnny Football was no different but he was actually really good in college. We all knew he was going to be a bust and he's twice the QB of little prime. Nothing to do with race. And I agree with you on 95% of everything.

My comments are about Deion and the reason he's not liked. I'm not defending his sons or Hunter. I personally feel Ward is the #1 Qb in the draft. I think Shilo is not very good at all. Sheduer would rather take a sack than throw the ball away. He protected stats similar to Matt Ryan in Atlanta.

maybe next year Coach Prime can defeat a ranked team in the top 25. He has not done that yet. Who knows, maybe the team will be more focused now that the media darlings after the social media clicks are gone. I have no idea if Sheduer can play in the nfl.

It's an ESPN issue- not a race issue. They love feel good stories and the sons of a popular/famous athlete whether it's Sanders or Manning is something they like to cram down everyone's throat as nauseum.
They like to pick and choose topics and set the perception of things- see Alabama football when Saban was there. Same with other sports.

Exactly. It?s the same reason they do those awful NFL draft shorts where they find the most awful thing that has happened to a player in their life and air it over national television.
