The SPC has placed parts of the state under moderate risk of severe weather tomorrow with several strong long tracked tornadoes likely. Timing looks to be afternoon into the overnight hours.

Yep, only in the deep south do you have to worry about getting blown away by tornadoes while trying to watch college football bowl games. Naturally, central MS/I-20 is in the bullseye.

What is the SPC?
And will the National weather service update their warning from enhanced to moderate?

SPC is Storm Prediction Center. They are the ones that issue these outlooks as well as severe thunderstorm and tornado watches.

Your local NWS office issues all warnings. They don't issue these outlooks, but just use what the SPC release.

Adding this to the current thread.

And remember, we have several active Skycams viewable on www.NMSCAS.org. Website is free to view.

We also have several (around 10) other locations approved to put cameras once we get funding to do so. If anyone is looking for a last minute tax deduction, you can donate to our nonprofit at https://givebutter.com/Y3o6N9 or text NMSC to 53555

Proceeds go to our camera network and disaster relief fund.

There are some Bad looking cells around CC, Commencment dog, Land. Near Laurel. And TWs surrounding houston TX / It looks like it's going to be an active evening for the state as most of the heavy stuff is still forming up in Texas.

Bingo. These seem to be isolated cells way out infront of any lines. A squall line is starting to get it shit together extending from Monroe to Houston and it's very active. Going to be another busy night for the Coast.

You are now under a tornado watch. Will be under a severe threat next 2-3 hours until the line pushes east.

Y'all too!! You have a little ways to go it looks like. I think we're good now. I have some great videos of lightning and strong winds. I heard trees snapping behind the house so it'll be interesting to see tomorrow morning. All good though.

One of our guys just got hit by a tornado. Blew the window out of his car and almost flipped another car into his. He's ok, but going to have a wet drive back home.

Is there a place to track the location of a Nader? Google maps used to do that but it seems that's not the case this season.

If anyone wants to see something you don't regulary see go to NWS Jackson. From Hattiesburg to Brandon it's solid red on the Warnings part.
