We had the number 2 sos and played with a new coach/ system, had massive roster holes/ lack of depth, and a first year DC/ staff.
We are doing well in the portal.

There is hope. Seems our NIL is producing results.

O and a true freshman qb.

There is hope. Not sure why so much doom and gloom.

Next year is going to be tough with our schedule but if we keep this momentum then Lebby year 3 should get us back to our baseline.

I like the portal results so far at most positions. Gotta finish strong.

Lebby has tied himself to this staff and his defensive coordinator which could sink him or prove to be a wise move. If he goes 2-10/3-9 next year, he shouldn't get year 3. You don't get to throw the staff under the bus for 2 years of ineptitude.

5 wins and signs of improvement, and I'll start building hope that maybe he's a good coach. We shall see.

That is the problem though with this new environment. 2-10 2024, 5-7 2025, top players hit the portal, 3-9, 2026. It is forever more a crap shoot now. You cannot build over a 3 year period any more. You have to buy it for the next year and pay more to maintain!

True to both. The DC situation hopefully someone is right and there is shuffling and we hire a good one.

Also from what I'm told, it's easier to keep players than bring them. Plus if he's doing good now with how terrible we were, hopefully we do even better the next year

Once we start winning it becomes easier I believe to recruit. However, we didn't lose many starters. We lost 90% backups and redshirts.
