They closed the game on an 11-0 run in the final 2:02. And State STILL won on THEIR court by 13. There was a 4-5 minute window when our guys were toying with them and still scored in the possessions. Our win against SMU earlier is also starting to look like a really good win. They haven't lost since we beat them and have since beaten Washington State, Virginia, LSU and Boston College. The Pitt, SMU and now Memphis wins look great on our resume..

The SEC is so loaded but I like our team and our chances against any team on any given night.

I think getting portal players from P5 programs helps when you are adding a lot of minutes from the portal. We haven't seen a lot of issues with our team gelling even though we have 4 big contributors playing their first year at State.
Jans did a great job in the portal and also getting Murphy to drop out of the portal.

We better or I’m done with Selmon. Cohen did 1 thing right and that was hiring Jans. We are lucky to have him and we better give him what he wants. He is one of the best coaches in college basketball and the best coach we have had since Richard Williams.

Dead on. We are a Top 15 basketball team. I think Auburn is the best team in the country. Tenn is damn good. But we arent far behind

But I was watching the replay and realized that all the comments were correct about the announcers.These homers were terrible. At the start of the game the camera was on an assistant and they were calling him Chris Jans... then later one of the dudes called us Miss. WTF. Only replayed the 1st half so far...

Not sure how many games you have watched or what you know about basketball or Chris Jan's philosophy, but his on ball defense and footwork are exceptional.....they will get him in the weight room but there is no doubt he will be a big part of the program going forward....
