On his show Sunday night (which you can hear on his podcast "Cube Show"), Cubelic said JA really struggles in the throw game once you get beyond the quick game. Said freeze has his work cut out for him.
Also rated Hibbler a better edge than Princely.
Had good things to say about our portal haul so far.

The Arnold lust is based on a HS recruiting ranking. He hasn't been that good in college

He's been very critical of Arnold. Was on record that Hugh did not need to pursue him. I mean Freeze has staked his job to Jackson Arnold.
I do agree that Hibbler is better than Princewill. He is not better than Princely, but Princely is probably going to be a day 2 pick this year.
There's part of our portal haul I really like (Thompson, Hibbler, Manning, and Sanders). But there's a glaring hole at DT and OL. We have to correct that in the next 10-12 days.

I would also add that Jayven Williams is immediately better than anyone we had behind our starters last year, and he is actually not far off from Brice Pollock, who I do not believe was a guaranteed starter going into next season. Pollock is really lacking in man-to-man coverage ability. There is still more to do at CB, and they will do it.

Stop it! Pollock was the ONLY corner outside of the Memphis transfer with an interception. Are you and SVS running for office? Lol

He can't cover in man to man. At all. He was actually pretty solid as a zone cover corner. He doesn't have the natural ability and athleticism of Kelley Jones, who needs a lot of refinement in his coverage technique. But again, that goes back to being a Mississippi high school prospect and not facing any actual passing offenses in high school.

I am actually pretty high on Brice. I thought he improved as the year went on. This was a Darcell thing. Darcell poisoned our DB room on his way out and Pollock was/is a big Darcell guy.
