Karmino is probably a member of the NY crime family "Taylor" if I had to guess.
Kamario Taylor is a really good QB from Noxubee County who won Mr. Football in his class for Mississippi.

Well we could use some Bobby Bacalas for the D line.

My added two cents.
He made Elite 11 and did really well. Was the top QB prospect in the state IMO and as a four star is underrated.

Basically if we're dreaming up a QB and put it in an AI generator Kamario Taylor is what it would come up with as far as physical traits.
Also, he is related to Omarr Conner (Uncle) who has played QB in the SEC and I think he is someone that can help him at times potentially.

We've locked up Kamario. We took his brother just to make sure. This will be like the Nkemdiche thing. Kamario will have a chance to be the starter as early as 26, but will be the starter in 27.

Uhhh, who's going to start in 2025 when Shapen is out for the year with a season ending injury? Are we going after a "lesser" QB in the portal (assuming the kid from FSU doesn't commit).

yes, he's a taller lamar jackson with a better arm than cam newton. he has all the physical attributes but I,( my opinion only) feel he will need a minimum of 2 years of tutoring to be prepared to start and run the offense and not only a minor part as lebby had to do with mvb.

Yea he's a better runner at this point in his QB development than he is a passer. A little Fitzgeraldish but he's a better passer than Nick

Ehh.....Dan was always going to use Dak a lot more in 2013. He just had to do it quicker than expected when Russell went out against Oklahoma St. And then obviously Dak almost leads us to victory at Auburn and then goes nuts against Troy the next week. At that point we had a QB controversy. I don't even think Dan and Co. knew how Dak would react as the starter, because he looked awful against Oklahoma St. His jump from that game to the Auburn game is still incredible.

Just watched his elite 11 tape. He is definitely lab built with his physical traits but he is about as raw an elite 11 prospect as I have seen. No fluidity from footwork to throwing motion and accuracy less than desirable.
Need to use home grown product Kamario and promote his NIL as face of the program to get fans hoping the future is bright and will actually have a player we know to root for.
2025- get him a few snaps in a couple of games somewhere just for experience. (Dak 2012)
2026- Go ahead and let ride with him. Will likely be bad with a lot of wow moments.
2027 and 2028- these are the seasons we need to be building towards. $$$$ on portal to put the pieces around a hopefully fine tuned Kamario Taylor.
I do not want to wait 3-4 years either but only route I see to have a chance at making playoff. Would rather make playoff 1 every 10 years and go 4-8 the others than 6-6 every year.
He is the type of prospect though, especially considering he is all dawg like I hear, that we need to start to prepare for that when he is ready we go all in building roster around him.
We are about to see how good Lebby can coach QBs. Mullen could turn this kid into a heisman. We may already have, but I would bring in a dedicated QB coach almost just for him. He will need a lot of work but if you can get his max then we will be cooking.

Not gonna lie watching his elite 11 tape looks like they asked The 2nd Team All-Conference Shooting Guard at Belhaven to take a few drops and hit a few passes. Kid looks unnatural as a QB. Nothing looks smooth or comfortable. Going to take a hell of a coaching job to get him to equal the hype he has.

I put Sleepy and Don Smith ahead of Fitz.
And what metric other than feelings would you base that on?
Fitz 511/942 6,207 55 TD's/30 picks
Sleepy 101/185 1,486 10TD's/11 picks
Don 342/738 5,229 31 TD's/34 picks
Fitz 601/3,607 46 TD's 6.0 per carry
Sleepy 194/678 6 TD's 3.5 per carry
Don 485/1,868 21 TD's 3.9 per carry
Fitz is easily our 2nd best QB in history:
Fitz is tied for 4th IN THE SEC ALL-TIME for rushing TD's (that includes RB's- everybodyyyyyy)
Fitz is in the SEC Top 50 All-TIME in passing TD's
Fitz is tied for 6th ALL-TIME with Peyton Manning for TD's responsible for (Dakota is 4th All-time)
Smith and Sleepy cant match anything he did statistically or wins on the field

Omarr is my boy, he would have been a first round pick in Mullen's offense. Still the most athletic QB I have ever seen in Maroon and White, including Dak. Omarr was a stud. Differences between 91 and 17 were a few but the main one was in 91 Sleepys job was to hand the ball off the Davis or make plays with your legs when you saw an opening. Fitz job was to either run up the middle or off tackle. Both were exciting but on 3rd and very very long Sleepy gave us the best chance/

Agree statistically Fitz is maybe 2nd behind Dak. But you can't compare stats from so different an era of football. We got Bond, Sleepy, Don all pretty good QBs. Bond only QB to go 4-0 against LSU. Bond was the wizard running the wishbone, triple option. For you young pups go watch some footage, he was precision. Sleepy and Don built on the option and made running QBs a thing.
Dak and Fitz were great though. Fitz just had the explosive, see you later speed.

Yeah- but Fitz not is only a State great- he is an SEC Great. When you are that high is SEC historical records- it just takes it to another level. When you say Peyton Manning is tied with Fitz- that just overshines Smith's run vs Tenn or Bond's wizardry running the Bone.
Fitz's State rushing record game vs Mississippi on the road in 2016 may be the best performance a State QB has ever had. He ran for 258 and averaged 18.4 per carry. People also forget he threw for 3 TD's in the game also. 5 total TD's. Just an amazing performance

There is zero doubt in my mind we win the West, possibly SEC and make playoff in 2018 with Fitz if Mullen had stayed. That was it. That was our moment. Poof.
Mullen HAS to look back on that and regret leaving, at least leaving that specific year, leaving that specific team.

He just needs a year or two to develop. Not really any different than most QB's that aren't unicorns.
With his arm strength in Lebby's offense it could look similar to Tennessee in 2022. And with his physical size QB runs and scrambling won't be an issue.
I wouldn't say he looks unnatural though. He can do some pretty special things at QB already that you can't coach.
