And we hired Lebby.

Just kidding but that's wild. Not sure why he would want to take the college route.

$30 million dollar deal and a chance his so takes over when he is done.
I can't see this working out after a year.

Doesn?t seem like he?d do well in this era of recruiting but if he brings the right assistants who do 99% of the recruiting all he has to do is close them. ?Hey kid do you want to know what it takes to win multiple super bowls? Here?s a couple hundred grand. Come to UNC and I?ll show you.?

He will sell kids on getting to the league because for most of their childhoods he WAS the league.

I was reading notes on the Carolina board, and some notes:

Saban played a role in it. Not sure in what regard.
$30 million guaranteed over 3years and a 5 year contract.
UNC agreed to increase budget for off field staff, and to budget for a full GM staff.
UNC to commit more to NIL, in addition with the revenue sharing.
In his first interview, he stressed he would emphasize education for players, and the value of a UNC degree.
He had intrigue with Chapel Hill, that area

Then they mentioned something about having a Target***

I hope that we're doing the same with. Plus minus the target and contract amount

I don't see a ton of kids running to play for UNC. His old school approach would turn a lot away. This is like turning an academy school into a power 5.

If he gets everything he is asking for, they will make noise in the ACC. He is building an NFL scouting dept for recruiting and has Mike Lombardi running things. If he can nail his OC hire, watch out. Bill is going to be like Saban, hands off CEO style. Let his coaches coach.

Saban wasn't hands off and if Bill is hands off it depletes the experience. This is a move to setup his son imo.

It is absolutely a move to set up his son. There is no doubt about it. But if the plans he wants are put in place, it will be really hard for him to not have year 1 success there.

Bill Belichick atop Jordan Hudson. Far greater legacy than any coaching he's ever done. *****

Agreed, if he can get a Qb
