He was set to make 5 million next year and the highest paid OC in college football is 2.1 Million.

Keenum and Selmon called him and told him State only hires coordinators as Head Coach, so he needed to spend a year as an OC and then State will hire him next December after another 2-10 season!😳

He needed to find a landing spot and wanted to stay relevant enough for another job. His last 2 years at UCF were not good.

I'd say hire a dedicated OC as well but no one worth anything is coming to State at this juncture.
