QB- All of them but I would definitely bring in a new QB to compete and hopefully start.

RB- I like Daniels but he is expendable. Probably need at least one RB if not two.

WR- More about retention. Need to keep Coleman, Kelly A, and Craver if at all possible. Add to the room and try to get someone that is at least 6'3"-6'5" for red zone targets.

TE- I like Traore. I would keep him and try to get him stronger and more athletic.

OL- Reese is the only keeper of the starters that are returning. I like Miner too and wish he wasn't graduating.

DL- I actually like Trevion, Dinkins when he is healthy, and McClendon. But when I say I like them- I like them as depth. We need an entirely new group basically.

EDGE- Tillman is OK as depth. DonTerry Russell needs to play more. But we need some more EDGE rushers badly.

LB- I like Jennings. Blanton isn't going anywhere even though he is TJ Mawhinney 2.0. If we can upgrade here I'm all for it but this actually may be our strongest group on defense.

CB- Pollack and Jones are solid honestly. Bring in some competition and we should be OK here.

S- Isaac Smith is our best defensive player. He should start and really is the only one I think that has a job that's safe. The JUCO safety should start as well making this unit OK and should be an upgrade over Washington.

Nickle- Lanier is not very good. I could see the guy from Kennesaw State taking this spot.

K- Ferrie is good. Keep him.

P- We need one so it's kind of essential to add someone here.

I thought this was Akharaiyi's last year of eligibility?

Hopefully we get Seth Davis back at RB.

WR is about retention some, but we need a do over there too. Otherwise we better make sure the young bucks are ready to contribute.

We hit on 2 WR out of the entire haul, Craver who is most likely gone, and Coleman. That just goes to show you how much of a crap shoot it can be. Hudson was a total bust and the high schoolers just weren't ready.

Akhari may possibly have had better numbers playing the year out with Shapen but regardless he has been a non-factor for most of the year. He was a 1,000 yard receiver who has done not much.

How many of our 2024 starters would start for another SEC program? Asking for a friend.*****

Coleman, Booth, Miner, Craver, and maybe Traore on offense. You could probably also throw Van Buren in there since Auburn or Kentucky would trade QBs with anyone.

On defense, Smith and MAYBE Tillman or Stone.

Offensively we are not that far off. The Freshman QB holds us back quite a bit. On defense, yea we're ass. No way around it. Talent is ass. Scheme looks ass because talent is ass so I really don't know if the scheme is actually good and our talent brings it down or the scheme is bad and the talent is bad. Just watching our talent, I'd lean toward it being talent bringing down scheme. We've been bad schematically sporadically outside of the ASU game and Arky game. We've been bad talent wise since spring ball.

I thought Kelly A was out of eligibility. He had the injury early and I do think downgrading with arm strength at qb with shapens injury hurt his year.

Craver has shown his cards with the suspension. Alabama kid who will be looking to cash in. 5% chance he is back.

Coleman has options and has been shown to shop. 3 teams in 3 years. He could stay, transfer, or declare.

Smith is a great tackler, has fantastic instincts, and is a plus blitzer. His drawback is coverage. He has free safety instincts but if teams are able to match him up on a slot, it?s not gone well. He is a must keep, but I?d try to talk him into gaining weight and playing backer.

Any o lineman with reps, need to stay.

McClendon could be good. He has a freshman body and needs a year of diet and conditioning.

Jennings, Tillman, and stone are keeps.

Pollack could be very solid next year. Georgia kid who may be homesick

Auburn is the one tampering with Craver

He's not the only one on our team their tampering with either.

One would assume Craver is gone given the circumstances of the suspension and tampering rumors. I hope not but we?ll see.

Coleman needs to be thinking about the league vs a 1 year pay day. Year 2 in this offense with a returning sophomore qb) with a competitive nil package is the best route for him.

Smith is good and only one that might get drafted. Need him back to lead the D.

I also like Trevion, Dinkins and McClendon. I think Trevion can develop as rush end. with the right coaching. He is too light to play in the middle. I watched him in some drills, dude has a twitch as a rush and is powerful for his size. Dink just a stopper in the middle.

Gotta keep Coleman. I like Daniels as a backup and 3rd down back.

We can do better than that sophomore QB

I'd expect between 30-50 kids leaving, mostly guys being replaced. With the new roster setup, we can't hang on to these guys what can't play at all.

Between kids out of eligibility and kids transferring you probably are not too far off on that number. That is why I do not have too big a problem with the JUCO offers. We know we need depth guys and that is what these guys are. Now, if we strike out in the portal and these guys are starting we are having a different conversation

So maybe keeping 15 players on this roster and signing 70 more?

I'd say we'll keep 35-40 and bring the rest in via the portal and HS/JUCO recruiting. Our roster will look at lot different next year....and it needs to.

I get this sentiment given the poor win-loss record this year, but I disagree. You spend the nil it would take to recruit a quarterback upgrade and you invest in elite OL and DL instead.

I agree and disagree. I agree that we don't need to overpay for a QB, but if an opportunity presents itself to bring in a good QB then do it. Just don't do it at the expense of investing in DL and OL.

Absolutely keep. Mississippi kid who would be in line to start. I don’t see him leaving. I’m for keeping any o lineman that have contributed. They have come on in run blocking but have struggled all year in pass pro. By all means, bring in portal guys that could take their job. But their experience in our system is valuable if just for depth.

Hell yes. He's a bright spot. I think he starts at one of the guard spots next year
