One thing I'd like to see from him is getting in the refs ears more. We're going to see more physical mismatches down low and we have to be able to front the offensive player with some authority. Refs did not do a good job with that tonight and wanted Jans to let them hear about it.

For sure. May need Clary to start looking for offense to help relieve some of the pressure. So far Hubbard is not responding to being locked down.

The assist to turnover ratios for Clary, Hubbard, Harris and Cam are elite to this point. The team may be undersized by definition but they make up for it by hustling for rebounds and not throwing the ball all over the court.

We aren’t going to see many teams with 7’2 guys posting up in the paint and I thought that that slow Turk got bailed out by several suspect calls.

That was evident when we went to Kugel when Nwoko fouled out. Just sitting down by the bench you could tell Jans had no interest of putting Chol in right there.

It's a great sign when our best player has an off night but we still find a way to win. I really like this team, yes we are deficient in a few areas and need more from the post but Murphy has been solid for us there even though he's not a true 5, he still produces. We outrebounded them by 4 so that's another good sign. No disrespect to Shawn Jones but he doesn't need to start, nor does he need alot of playing time. He does play good defense and can finish at the rim so he can be helpful in a limited role.

Good teams find a way to win, we will be fine moving forward. It's still very early and two wins on the road are good. Basketball is a game that has "runs", plus Jans is the best Coach we have had in making adjustments.

Murphy played ball last night. Looks like maybe it’s starting to click. We’ll see on down the road how he responds when times get tough but I like what I saw last night.

While he lacks in post D- he is long and that helps a lot. As much as he hates playing against a true 5- it works both ways as a true 5 doesn’t want to have to guard him. As I and other have mentioned- he can hit the 3 when he gets a good look and his feet set. Hit 2 last night. Him pulling the other team’s 5 away from the basket should be very valuable offensively

Our bench outscored our starters 54-30. We’re currently 3rd in the country in assist to turnover ratio and as a team we’re shooting above 70% from the stripe. All of those indicate a high IQ deep team. It’s really really hard for teams to make any separation when we sub because we’re not bringing in guys that turn it over and our bench can make free throws. It’s early but this team has the makeup of top 4 seed.

If I am an opposing team with a good inside game, I would dump it inside a lot and try to get Keyshawn, Cam, and Nwoko in foul trouble.

On the flip side, we now have much more flexibility on the perimeter with our shooters. And we have more ability to play “positionless” basketball. This team can really do some things. I still feel like Keyshawn Murphy is the key. We are so much better when he is engaged, hustling, and working. He is long, skilled, and can be a matchup problem for opponents. We need Murphy to be on his game.
