This is certainly a nice step for him, but he hasn't made the 26-man roster yet

He was put on the 40 man roster. Which is a good thing and it's a next step/ Hopefully he gets invited to spring Training.

It is a great thing for him and I am proud for him and his family. It is another rung up the ladder that can eventually lead to the Show. But he has to keep climbing and he will give it all he has.

Well for Long term the Rays are loaded at the Outfield position with one of the top prospects in the MiLB at Montgomery. Doesn't mean they will stick with the team but both are projected to be in the show in 26.
Jake was Rule 5 draft eligible if not placed on the 40 man roster.

Yeah. I think he is going to make it to MLB in 2025 one way or another. I was kind of wondering if he was going to be unprotected because I could see some team taking him and seeing if he stuck as a fourth OF/PH/PR guy.

Eric Cerantola was added to the Royals 40 man also. Dude has really advanced post-MSU

Remember; X is something that was and a spurt is a drip under pressure. from time to time that sums up a lot of posts on this board.

I propose this edit ...

Foxhall was disease on the pitching staff. KC Hunt is thriving too, post Foxhall.

It's crazy to say this...but
We actually probably underachieved to a degree in 2021. I know we won the whole thing but we probably could have had a better season like win 50 games and the SEC with a legit pitching coach. Bednar, MacLeoud, and Cerentola with his head on straight and Landon Sims in the bullpen...just too good for anyone to screw it up. Harding was a veteran guy who was a mature pitcher who you could tell had been in and out of jams before and knew how to grind. Jackson Fristoe was very promising and he declined as the year went on probably because of the coaching or maybe more accurately lack thereof. Bednar had a direct line to his brother in MLB and that probably helped him some. Sims was just so talented. Would probably be in MLB already if he hadn't had Tommy John his junior year and I would not be surprised at all if he becomes an All Star level MLB closer. The thing about Sims is you could let someone like Parker Stinnett walk the house and get in a massive jam and then put Sims in and he would simply just strike out the side whenever needed. Foxhall missed the unicorn closer guy his last year and a half.

And here's another thought regarding 2019. Could y'all imagine a rotation of Ethan Small, JT Ginn, and Cerentola coached by Parker? That's insane to think about. And Parker probably would have used Colby White more and made him the closer like he should have been.
