The team is going to be without Ilana Izquierdo. She posted her season is done due to injury. That's a big loss. First, she has a lot of international experience (Columbia's OlympicTeam), which is going to be hard to replace. She also was right beside Macey Hodge in the middle field and was a key to our defense, offensive transition and ball control. She also allowed Macey to take some risks. Now Macey will have to be more careful.

That being said, there is a lot of depth and talent. We'll see how far we can go.

Yes, Southern was greatly out matched, but there were a couple of interesting stats from last night. First, MSU had seven different players score and secondly, they didn't allow a shot.

Offense and Defense, a winning combination.

It was amazing to see a defense that literally didn't even allow a single shot. At one point a southern girl tried to just put a ball on the goal from about 40 yards out. She whiffed, we stole the ball, and then went down and had a clean look at the goal. It was what it must feel like to be Alabama in football against normal SEC teams for the past 18 years. Just totally outmatching your opposition.
