1. Another HS football season ends. Not sure how many more I'll go. With my 2 sons playing on the same HS team the next 2 seasons- last night might have been my last. Their 2 years together plus my youngest going thru the recruiting process the two years after may be enough competitiveness for me.

2. I thought we played ok last night. Just overmatched as usual. Tenn was blowing our guys off the D-line. The lack of talent there is the #1 recruiting must this offseason. The OL is gelling- albeit too late but they certainly look better. We ran the ball pretty well. We gave up some sacks but part of that is a freshman not getting rid of the ball as quickly as he should. The team continues to pay hard.

3. One thing I didnt like was Lebby costing us an extra 3 points right before half. Only down 17-7 in the 1st with 40-something seconds left. Run the clock out and get ready for the 2nd half. Make your halftime adjustments. Couldnt do that tho- had to come out throwing from our own 20 and drained no time off the clock. Tenn got an extra 3 before half because of it.

4. Mississippi with a big win yesterday really helped their chances for the payoff. They will roll Fla and us to finish 10-2 and ranked inside the top 10. Thanks again to Kentucky or they would be in the Top 5 right now.

5. Interesting development going on in the SEC now with no divisions. Texas and A&M has one just loss but play each other @A&M. Tenn has one loss and goes to Athens this weekend with Georgia having to win already with 2 losses. Mizzou with 2 losses but a decent chance to win out. Bama gonna win out with 2 losses. LSU could win out at 2 losses with their schedule.
Let's say Texas beats A&M and Georgia beats Tenn. Who plays Texas in the SEC title game? Bama, LSU, Mississippi, Tenn, LSU, and Mizzou could all be sitting there at 6-2 in the SEC. Thats one helluva tie-breaker.

6. Florida announced Sunbelt Billy will get one more year. Sounds like nobody was ready to cough up that $26MM price tag plus more for a new staff.

7. UPig/Pittman are coming to a crossroads. He'll beat La Tech for a 6th win. But can he get Texas at home or @Mizzou? 6-6 and UPig probably pulls the trigger. Do they re-hire Beautiful Bobby or go another route?

8. Kentucky and Stoops likely end their bowl streak. He'll win the 2 OOC's likely but not @Texas.

9. Freezus sitting at 3-6 with another Iron Bowl loss coming. Apparently not anyone can do what The GusBus did afterall.

10. Little Beamer has fought off his doomsdayers. They got a good chance at beating Mizzou this weekend and then a doorknob after that. 8 wins going to the Clemson game would be great for them.

Well, at least LSU lost this weekend. I had much rather it had been Bama, but you can?t have your cake and eat it too.

I hope we don’t see the Mike Wright version of MVB again. I don’t care how stout the opposing defense is. There is no excuse to have less than 100 yards passing in an NCAA football game unless you are a service academy.

He had a bad game, it happens in all sports especially true Freshmen, overall he has done well. I think most on ED forget who all we have played with true freshman QB. Hardest position to play for a freshman.
Most ex QB’s understand this.

It is and it only comes with experience. But on the other hand a good QB coach with educate him on calling protection and changing the play at the LOS. Also on adjusting how far back you drop and when to get the hell out of the pocket exp when your left tackle is getting you killed.

I noticed last night he changed the play several times. He was sacked 4 times and it could have been at least 4others times as he managed to get back to LOS. Glad to see we ran the ball better than we have all season. Also when we did complete a pass they were tackled right away, good coverage they had with their DB’s. They had way more speed than us.

I think we forget he wasn’t suppose to in in this position, he is learning each week. I hope we beat Missouri.

And he does have to learn not every pass has to be a flamethrower.

Brett Favre says hold my beer. LOL, I will never forget sitting at Jackson Memorial stadium playing USM. We had them beat but this freshman QB was throwing “flame throwers” late in the game marching down the field 80 plus yards away with less than two minutes in the game.

I didn?t hate it. He knew we needed points, the offense just couldn?t execute the plan. Granted the stretch run to the short side of the field was a poor play call. We went from being down 10 to down by 13 with a whole half to play and We ended up losing by 19 so its all moot.

With a tie game or 1 possession game I?m sure Lebby plays the end of the half way different.

I didn't mind it either. If it worked we could have stolen some points which with our defense we need all we can get.

We had 45 seconds with the ball on our 20. It was ****ing dumb.

True. But you can’t put up Chris Relf passing stats if you are one dimensional.

A bad game completion % wise is completely understandable. 92 yards from a non-running QB is not. That is Bernard Euell level production and “Showtime” is supposed to be better than that, even if he is a frosh.

We HAVE to have a competitive QB room next season that’s not full of dead weight that have no chance of playing.

Not much left to say at this point. We suck, Ole Miss is light years ahead and it's unclear if anyone in leadership really cares (or has a clue what to do about it).

And he needs to learn when he rolls out and there are 15 yards of empty Green in front of you, and you need 8 yards, don't throw a 40 yard 50/50 ball!😳😳
