State and the saints are so horrible, they got me thinking of switching to soccer. For real though, I can't wait for MBK tomorrow, and I watched the grizzlies play last night instead of CFB. Man, when my football teams suck this bad, I can't enjoy watching the sport at all. Just a brutal football season.

Even the cowboys are sucking! You could always go be an ole miss fan and be promised that you will be for sure be in the playoffs, have a heisman candidate and possibly win a natty. Only to be lied to and you waste all that money and energy just to be another mediocre SEC team.

The OM folks I know didn't think Dart would win the heisman, nor that they'd win a natty, but they did expect to challenge for the playoff and they'll make it if they win out.

So you are saying we have to be Ole Miss fans to expect to see the occasional mediocre 10 win season and the occasional less than mediocre 9 win season and maybe be so bad on average that we only win 8 games most years? I'm glad there is one team we can cheer for in Mississippi that makes me throw up to even say their name. Naw. State should be so lucky to be that mediocre.

With Saban leaving I would guess our odds of a mediocre 10 win season have improved.
It's kind of sad for Dan that he had to face Saban every year. If I got a time machine and transported him to say 2027 I think he would finally beat them.

Like Jackie and LSU. He beat them his 1st year and that was it. There was the year when it looked like we were gonna pond them, Terrell Grindle TD pass in the 1st, but then we got unlucky as hell in the 4th. Jackie just couldn't beat them/

Well at least Dak doesn't have to sit there and take a beating fore the next few weeks. Maybe he can stay out til McCarthy gets canned.

They are going to have to hope other SEC teams ahead of them lose 3 because at 10-2 they will still have the worst loss by far. UK at Home and a 3-4 loss LSU is going to look bad.

Jackie beat them in 1999 too.
He definitely struggled against them.

Wasn't that Justin Griffin who "sneaked" into the endzone???

It was Gibson and despite LSU's protests I'm 100% he scored.
I was at that game and it kind of looked to me like Gibson got the ball and slipped and instead of going over the pile like you usually see he actually he went under the pile and scored.
Griffith I think caught a pass earlier in the drive that looked like he broke the plane and they called him down at the one. So we probably should have had the lead even before that. We didn't have replay at that time so I don't know how that would have gone.

The entire SEC, sans 2 or 3 teams, is going to be really really good this year. If we can finish top 6, we'll have a really good and tested team for the tournament.
You are right. Currently here are SEC teams who are ranked:
#2 Alabama
#11 Auburn
#12 Tennessee
#13 Texas A&M
#16 Arkansas
#19 Texas
#21 Florida
#23 Kentucky
#24 Ole Miss
That is 9 out of 16 teams that are starting the season ranked. I don't know if the SEC has ever been this good. I love Jans' team but we are going to be in a dog fight every night.

Also, I might have this wrong but I think we really scored on the play before but the refs ruled him down on the goal line. It was close and the refs decided to not screw us a 2nd time.
