At Tenn
Mizzou
At OM
Mizzou seems the only one that's possible. I think mizzou win would go a long way in recruiting... just show the recruits (and fans) a little hope for the future.

We made adjustments in the second half against a bad minuteman team but I was happy with the results. We finally got some sacks on defense, and we attacked the two deep zone coverage on offense.
I think we have a chance against Mizzou, MVB is maybe the best true freshman QB we may have ever had. Young man is gaining confidence and improving weekly. Coleman is a dude also!

I'm guessing you weren't alive to see John Bond.

All I?ve ever wanted to see was us in a Sugar Bowl. And f?ing Lindsey Scott and Buck Belue took that away what looks like the only shot at that

Bond had a way better offensive line, wasn't a great passer, MVB has it all, speed, good passer and runner. JMO and I loved Bond.

It was a completely different game then. And that year Bond was special for sure.

I agree, but I'm hoping for a stroke of luck.
ESPN FPI chances...
Tenn 6%
Mizzou 29.5%
OM 5%
Our only chance is mizzou, and it hinges on our offense playing basically perfect.

Why the Sugar bowl? Just for New Orleans?

It's essentially the Rose Bowl for SEC teams.
It would be awesome to go but it's going to have to happen by making the playoffs now and winning at least one playoff game.

Ole miss is going to hang 70 on us. I foresee something like 70-28

Totally different type of FB. Bond ran the Wingbone and had Mardye McDole. His Oline was full of studs but were built for 3 yds and a cloud of dust. BTW Basedog goes back to the early 70s and JB does think that MVB will be a stud.

Gonna be ugly. Hopefully they lose this week, so their season is a disappointment regardless

More than anything we need them to lose their stability. They've had a lot go right for them the past five years.
Losing to Georgia would be part of that.

Yeah- what Todd said. The SEC team always went to the Sugar and growing up in the 70's and 80's that was such a big deal. Had Belue/Scott not hooked up on that miracle play at the end of Fla/Georgia- we would have gone to the Sugar that year

We aren't winning another game. That defense couldn't win 2A ball in MS and they've half assed quit it looks like to me.

The Sugar Bowl is the holy grail for most SEC fans. At least the ones with any age on them at all. We've spent our entire lives talking about and looking forward to the sugar bowl every year. Nothing to do with the armpit of the world, Nola.

I said we would have to score 70 to beat OM and somebody on here called me Lane Kiffin. Unfortunately, told you so.

Mizzou is our chance, glad its at home. Need a great crowd that day.
MVB is very good for a true fresh. Dak is last fresh but I think he was a redshirt in 13 right?
Coleman is a stud - one of best in SEC and best that no one talks about. Our WR is among the best MSU has ever had I think.
Get us some old school MSU - big ugly OL and nasty DL and we're in business. I know some on here hate old school MSU anything but if you want to win you better be getting on board with it. It is how you win football - LOS and MSU has always done it well until the last 5 years. That is the main reason for our suck now - it ain't skill positions.

Don't forget that UF had wire tapped into our coaches communications at Gainesville as they had several others. Charlie Pell got UF on major probation for that several years that resulted in him being fired. THat was our only SEC loss in '80.

If Ole Miss only has 2 losses coming into the Egg Bowl they would still have a good shot at the playoffs. I think Kiffin would pull Dart after building a comfortable lead to avoid him getting hurt but if they are eliminated from the playoffs I think Dart breaks Costello's record.

2 legit shots for us, 1998 and 2000. Not gonna count 1999 because Bama put an end to that dream in Tuscaloosa. Fun times.

15 was the best shot. We had OM AT HOME, ON DAK'S SENIOR NIGHT, WITH A TRIP TO NOLA ON THE LINE. Heck, Dak could've put himself in NY with a good performance. He wouldn't have won it, but he was just coming off an incredible performance and comeback win in Fayetteville. Another good performance with the eyes of the country on you probably puts him in NY for the Heisman ceremony.
Instead we crapped the bed and got boatraced.

I'm not sure what OM will do in either situation. However some OM people are worried if they lose to UGA, their more talented players make business decisions and take it easy for the remaining season.
