I think with Alabama finally being dethroned you may start to see more celebrations like that in the SEC.

Crazy that a guy who hasn’t ever been a head coach before this job just beat a top ten team after having 3 years to build his program.

They have it figured out from at atmosphere standpoint.
We do not

These were my thoughts after playing there last year and being in that environment. They still are 100% accurate today. "Their stadium atmosphere makes us look like an FCS program. The lights and sound system are constantly going and their fans are engaged and standing from pregame to postgame. Ours cannot be bothered to stand for a TD."

Going to be really interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out. Other than the egg against Ole Miss, they haven't really had a bad game or bad loss.
Beamer is doing better than I realized at USC. I think them only winning 5 last year when one of those was a relative squeaker against a terrible MSU team made me think they were worse than they have been. They could very well win out and his first four years will have had 6, 8, 5, and 9 regular season wins. That would look pretty good. I would guess he's about to finish 8-4 again, which still is going to be a respectable 4 years.
end of the season would put them at If they win out, which they very could, it will look like Beamer has finally broken through after winning 6, 8, and 5 regular season games the prior three years.

I remember some of our fans saying he wouldn't be a good coach for MSU and then crowing about it every time he loses.
He's a solid coach. Kind of reminds me of Jackie in that he is a special teams guy who basically relies on his OC/DC and isn't married to a system.

I like Shane, have known him since his time in Starkville. He was NEVER leaving USCe. He is making more money than he ever dreamed he'd make in his life. He has an AD that gives him tremendous rope. And he has a fan base that no matter what they think about him or how the season is going, they show up. They pack Williams-Brice out for South Carolina. That's something our fan base has never grasped.

Unfortunately, one of the requirements of using all of that awesome tech to facilitate a great in-game environment is being allowed to play games after the sun goes down...

Exactly. I was thinking about this yesterday. We will never have this. Never.
Our games are 11:00 - 3:30 games. Unless we play on the road. We have fallen so far behind since Byrne left.
