Mississippi State beats Georgia Tech in a closed scrimmage. The game was close and Melendez was the high scorer. The season starts a week from Monday and West Georgia

Jans is going to toy around with lineups for the first part of the year. Outside of Hubbard and Matthews, other guys minutes are going to wildly fluctuate until we figure out who plays well together and who does not.

I agree with one expection. I would be surprised if Riley Kugel is not a locked in starter. Everything else could be pretty fluid.

I read on Twitter we beat Western Kentucky by double digits in a closed scrimmage a couple weeks ago also.

I am expecting similar results to the last 2 years. A bubble team and we get around a 9 seed.

We will be better than that. Chris Jans is moving away from the feed the post slow paced offense to more of a motion, 4 and 5 out style offense. Our three-point shooting will be much better.

I'd be disappointed if we are a bubble team. This Jans most talented roster and we have depth too.

He played around with the lineup too long last year. He should do that for a little while but we should be locked in well before SEC play.

Preseason bracketology has us at an 8 seed, Arkansas a 6, Kentucky a 7 and scUM as a last four bye.

At first glance, I would hope we do better than an 8, but there is going to be a logjam in the SEC standings and we just added 2 new teams. Not sure I buy Auburn as a 2 and A&M as a 4, but we shall see

at least hope is warranted here. We have one of the best 25 rosters in the country. So being a 6 seed or better is certainly a reasonable goal
