Sure...after he has spends over a decade away like Petrino and Ark and shows he can still coordinate in this league elsewhere.

It was a clean break and it needs to stay broken for a long time before his name is ever brought up. I'd rather bring Todd Grantham back if I'm bringing back someone who was here as a DC at some point.

That's not close to true. Not even in the universe compared to some recent DC's. Shoop, Diaz, Grantham, Collins, hell Wilson's first year were all better than Arnett's best year.

I think our best route is to hire someone with SEC experience like we did with Joe Lee Dunn, Ellis Johnson, Todd Grantham, and Bob Shoop or a G5 guy that is doing well at that level like we did with Manny Diaz, Geoff Collins, and maybe Arnett. Can't remember if Arnett was the DC for Rocky Long. That's our winning formula. Taking chances on inexperienced position coaches like Sirmon and Hutzler have been disasters for us.

So in short either get a guy like a Durkin or Kentucky's DC or get someone like Nate Woody at Army or Northern Illinois's DC.
