the tactic that the Tx. student body enlisted last night to get the officials to reverse a bad call. Texas intercepted a pass and returned it down the field eventually being tackled. The officials called pass interference on Texas and bring the ball back. IMO it wasn?t pass interference. The Texas fans go nuts and after the replay is shown at the stadium the Texas students start throwing water bottles on the field. Hundreds of them. While they pick up the field the officials gather then announce no pass interference and let the play stand. It?s on YouTube.

That was some straight up some major B.S.!

I agree. I watched it in amazement. While it was clearly NOT pass interference, the tactic of acting like ole Miss fans (which they are pretty close to), worked in their favor. If not for that, it's Georgia ball still.

I had never before seen bad fan behavior cause officials to change a call.

If we did that:

1. ESPN would make a big deal about it and Kirk Herbstreit would be crying about it while he he is holding his companion dog.

2. MSU's administration would freak out and put a massive net in front of the student section so that it would never happen again.

3. I would say that we would vacate the game if we won but I just remembered that Bracky retired.

I think they fined Texas $250k for that stunt.

they claim the entire year for other sports as well but I doubt they go thru the trouble of identifying via security video etc.

Depends on how many $$ the kids parents contribute to the university. They'll probably find a few scapegoats but there were probably a couple hundred offenders.
