If Lebby can keep the improvement going we can finish this year with hope and positivity.

Ole Miss could have a better record but finish with disappointment.

Trend potential is crazy.

I am excited after yesterday and the record won?t so much matter. I know what is happening and where it leads.

I think a lot of us feel this way.

Reminds me a little of Dans first year although Dan had a very talented roster Lebby not so much but he's making it work and we're playing much better

Hey in most cases winning overcomes everything. In our case improving every week overcomes everything. Heck there might be some vacancies next year, FL, FL State, OK that getting Lebby this past year might be one of the most farsighted hires ever made.

And we know we have us a good QB moving forward. That will be huge and will be an important piece to the offensive recruiting and portal work. MVB is a dang good one.

Van Buren is good. But Kamario Taylor may be Lebby's Dak Prescott. Dude was absolutely built for this offense.

VB is a good QB and will have the job for the next 2 years. Taylor will have to be Dak level to take it from him

I think we would redshirt Taylor and play Van Buren for the next three years which would give Taylor a pretty natural development as a QB. At least that's how I envision it. Unless we find a really good upper class QB that we can't turn down in the offseason for next year. We seem good on paper for the foreseeable future- just a matter of guys growing up.

Taylor is pretty raw and will redshirt but his tools are off the chart. VB is it for the next three years unless he leaves.
But we can score 30+ a game and it won't matter until we get a real DC.

Traditionally, yes.

I wonder though if in today's age of de facto free.agency, anyone will.stick around for 3 years without a starting spot.

I'm gonna go out on a maroon limb here and say Lebby gets us turned around by next season. It will be like Dan's 2010 season but better. Oklahoma cans Venebles and makes a play for Lebby.

We are trending in the right direction with Lebby and VB is gonna be a star.

Is Castiglione retiring? Because unless he retires and they come after Selmon, Oklahoma isn't going to bring Lebby back in any way, shape or form. It has nothing to do with Lebby as a coach, and it has everything to do with how they treated Lebby after his father-in-law was seen on the field after an Oklahoma win.

Oh, damn. I totally forgot about that. Yeah, never mind, I'll take that maroon limb back then. Anyway, I think Lebby will be here for several years. Maybe not as long as Dan but several years.

If Lebby wins here and I think he will just a matter of how much; I think a chance he stays a while. He is smarter and not as arrogant as Dan was. Dan's arrogance got the best of him and his career.

Been said many times, Dan could have had a statue here and been a legend but decided to get canned at UF. Lebby smarter than that from what I've seen.

Lebby could stay here going 9-3 every year with the occasional 10-2 and we'd all be giddy. We aren't like the Bamas or LSUs. If Lebby is just hungry for a blue blood team to win a natty, he'll leave but otherwise I think he's here for a good while.

No. Hate he got hurt but play talented young players across all positions. This recent portal class was non-SEC talent except a couple of WR's and Shapen, especially OL & DL.

I'll gladly take 7-9 win seasons most of the time with a shot at the playoffs every 3-4 years. Sign me up

With the way the schedule rotates now, we probably have a decent shot at 8-9 wins if we can build our program back. Frankly, without Saban, Bama won?t be guaranteed to thump us ever game either. It?s just not going to be like it used to. Bama is about to be like the Israelites in the desert.

Taylor has the chance to be as good as Dak when he was here. I really like Van Buren but Taylor has a ridiculous ceiling. We won't keep both though.
