The Next Three Games: A&M, Arkansas, UMass

I'm calling it now. We win two outta three.

UMass and Arkansas. UMass will be a beat down b/c they are way worse than us. And something just tells me Arkansas is it. It will be a close game but I think we take a lead late in the fourth and actually hold on to it to win. I also believe we hang with A&M but like Texas and UGA it just gets away from us in the 4th.

Our run defense has vastly improved the last 2 games mainly because of our tackling. But our pass Defense is still atrocious and other teams will take advantage of it. Instead of dropping the LBs into coverage we might as well blitz every play,

Good thing Ark cant throw the ball for shit, their QB cant hit the broadside of a barn. Now he may still be banged up from UT, but well see. They can however run the piss out of it. Petrino knows what he is doing with that offense and their D looked nasty against UT.

We have to play zone and play back because we get ZERO pass rush. Most of the time all 3-4 DL just get stood up. And Stone isn't a great tackler either. So then it's blitz Branden Jennings every time and that gets predictable.

I might like to see us try more stunts, twists, etc. with the DL but I'm kind of afraid that might open up some massive holes in the run game if we guess wrong.

We have a LOFT problem- lack of freaking talent.

UTs QB is one of the worst in the league. Their D is legit though.

This upcoming stretch reminds me a lot of 2020. We had just looked really good against UGA and OM. We had put up a TON of yds and it seemed like the fan base was really bought in for Auburn the next week. We come out and lay an egg and lose the fairweather part of the fan base that had bought in. We really need a strong showing on Saturday, at least offensively, to not have the same thing happen. The thing is, we have to mix what we did passing against UGA with the running we did against Texas. The pass is going to have to set up the run or A&M will just stack the box. That's what made us successful in the pass against UGA, Schumann just dared Lebby to throw it and was playing press man everywhere. That's why the deep shots were there.
