I'll say this: I think Kirby is one of the 2 or 3 best coaches in CFB now that Saban is gone. But like early Saban at Bama, he hasn't really prioritized QB talent. Saban realized he had to change and started recruiting QBs like Tua, Hurts, Milroe, etc. Will Smart wake up and adapt our will be keep trying to win with QBs like Stetson and Beckett? That's the big difference so far tonight. Milroe has been largely outstanding and Beckett looks like trash.

Yep. But I think Kirby has largely done the same. They aren't running some outdated offense, just one that's more pro style. As much as UGA fans whine about Bobo, it's hard to argue with his production over the years. They just need to spend the money to get a top tier QB. Go poach Cam Rising, for example.

Kirby needs to swallow his pride and get an elite QB and WR. QB moreso than WR. College ball requires a QB that can make plays with his legs when things break down. Even the NFL is moving toward mobile QBs. Still gotta be able to throw the ball, obviously, but that extra dimension is becoming a necessity, not optional or nice to have. Carson ain't taking UGA to a title. They'll lose to Texas in a few weeks, assuming Ewers is back. I'd say it's 50-50 if Arch has to play.
