More than it helps. Hopefully they keep it up.
It puts the idea in your players head:
?We have to fake injury to stop Kentucky?

TV showed Kiffin even called in the play once to Dart when Dart turned around and told RB to go down.
Just a classless move, open cheating. Great message to your players. Way to turn the boys in the grown men cheaters Kiffin.
Don't know why refs continue to let this go on.

The only way to stop this is the sec team go back and look to see if Kiffin called for them to do that. Would be hard to do if it was once but six times would be easy to see. Then put a penalty on them for it. Would it stop it, no. It would make teams be more creative and think twice about doing it.

TV replay was plain as day, Dart was about to run the play, he stopped listening to his head set, stopped and turned to RB and told him to get down injury. RB legs went limp. Announcers even talked about it as they replayed the fake injury play. Everybody knows it.

The solution to me is simple. You're injured you can't play the rest of the offensive series.
That would cause someone like Kiffin to have to choose who to "hurt".

Announcers called them out more than once, and I think they did last week as well. Can?t the SEC office enforce some kind of penalty on this? Loss of down. Player sits out the rest of the game. Something.

Can't put a penalty rule in mid season but can punish. You're right though. They need to make them sit out until turnover on downs, 3 plays, whichever comes first, etc to stop this

Kiffen will just send in a second or three teamer in for one play and have hime fake the injury. 15 yard, unsportsmanlike penalty for obvious fakes, all other injuries, set out for a quarter.

I think the “out for quarter” would take care of it but then you would have people really hurt trying to power through. It’s definitely a loop hole that Ole Miss seems to exploit a lot. More than most. Very unethical and poor sportsmanship

I think every team that plays Ole Miss should continuously do it to them when they are on offense and Kiffin may decide it ain't worth it.

I hope when we play them we will obviously fake injury every play when they are on offense. It would be hilarious! Also send a message.

Or should they play the following series. You know, to protect the players health and all.

Agreed. Do it literally every single play of the game. Force the NCAA come up with a policy.

Beyond setting up rules to stop it,
What are thoughts on my idea that is is more
Harmful to them as it instills a loser mentality to their defense.
When you are growing up playing D and the other team is driving you think
?Let?s dig in a stop them here!!!?
That?s not what they are doing?s
He has turned that into:
?Someone lay down to stop them?
It is a horrible mental attitude and will hurt their D.
I don?t want them to stop.

See that's my biggest issue with it. They're creating a situation where if a player is really hurt you can't tell or not. So because of them faking there may be an instance where someone is potentially seriously hurt that is getting booed or the officials say BS when they're really hurt.
That's why I think maybe make people sit out for a drive rather than a quarter. Because if a guy is banged up they really probably need at least a couple of plays to get even like a bandage on or taped up at least. But then if they're better you can send them in on the next drive.

And I'm waiting on an official to actually have some balls and call them out on it with a delay of game penalty or something.

I've wondered why they couldn't replay the injury. Like on Saturday if you see Dart do that or some of their other "injuries" they have, why can't the SEC Replay official signal down for a replay and if it's determined that they faked it then it's a 15 yd unsportsmanlike on the HC. Two in the same game and he's ejected.

I think if the refs in video booth sees a definite signal from the sideline to take a flop they call down to the field refs to review it. If they concur then it's a 15 yard for unsportsmanlike conduct AND they lose a time out.

Kiffin was speaking to Dart thru the helmet speaker when Jones, the RB went down.

Yep it was plain as day on the replay. Just get access to the headset if it is in question and case closed.

I’ll tell you why no one would do that. Because if he’s actually hurt and you penalize him and he goes back out to keep from being ejected and gets hurt then he sues the SEC big time

I think the biggest way to stop it is to make the “tempo” offense illegal. It’s always been unsportsmanlike to me. Basically you run two deep routes in a row as fast/far as you can and totally exhaust the CB. Then switch your slot to wide out presnap and burn the CB that’s sucking wind because he hasn’t had a chance to sub. It’s bullshit.

The clip of the RB being instructed by Dart to flop has made them a laughing stock in the sports media and will hopefully finally lead to a rules change by the so called "powers to be".

I'm not talking you flag every injury. What I'm saying is that you already know the replay official and the SEC Office is reviewing every play in real time, so if they see that, then buzz down to the official and say we're officially reviewing this for a delay of game penalty.
