Dude I really wish Dak would have gone somewhere else. He gets shit on so bad and undeservingly so. All sports talk radio is today, after they win a divisional road game where Dak was great, is bashing the hell out of the guy. I mean do they not watch the games?

If he had the exact same career but played for the Saints or Colts or a team like that he would be regarded and talked about as a bonafide top 5 QB in the league. He has been absolutely lights out the last two games. His game against the Ravens was one of the best games I have seen him play. A Lamb goal line and Luepke red zone fumble gets blamed on him when he had the offense humming. No fumbles in second half and they just about came back. But instead the talking point is that he is only good in garbage time. And he is doing all of it against defenses focusing on him, knowing they cannot run the ball and Lamb is his only real weapon.

It is not his job to take less money. His job is to play and let the Cowboys and his agent deal with it and it is the Cowboys job to figure out how to work the cap, other teams with stacked rosters do. Every year the dude works his ass off and gets better. He is the steady hand in the storm of shit that is the Cowboys franchise. People blame him for the playoff losses. It would be one thing if this just started with him but for the last 30 years this is a franchise problem not a QB problem.

Purdy had the exact same game as Dak against a shitty Rams team and lost and he was verbally sucked off by every talking head this week. If you switch Dak and Purdy the 49ers at least stay the same but the Cowboys are not sniffing 12 wins in 3 years and maybe not even the playoffs.

Rant over.

Dak is the highest paid player in league history. Fair or not he will be held to a higher standard. I mean you mention Purdy. Purdy will be paid around a million dollars FOR THE SEASON. Dak will make 3x that PER GAME.

Purdy has MCCraffrey and Kittles and a coach with a present day offense. Dak has Cc Lamb and older Cooks a old EE, could've had Derrick Henry, a half way decent TE and a coach who runs a old offense the routes are so predictable the DBs know when to undercut them. Don't even mention the OLine. But Dak is the highly paid guy and he could be a little more accurate if he wasn't throwing off his back foot because he is getting sacked/ Remember Romo had Whittten.

Purdy is about to get paid just like Dak, that is how the QB market works. And Dak has been phenomenal. He is the only reason the Cowboys have not been a dumpster fire the last 5 years. There is so much bullshit that surrounds that organization and culture. The playoffs are not a Dak problem it has been going on for 30 years.

This is why the unrelenting criticism is not fair. He is worth that $ to the Cowboys. If he was not worth that then do not pay him and let him walk, someone was going to pay him. Why should he have to take less money? Brady is an outlier. People want their worth.

One positive note for Dak is the fullback, 40, is starting to become a reliable guy out of the backfield.

And Dak has CeeDee, who is a top 5 receiver. The Cowboys offense is not good and you are right about that but no top tier coach is going to come to Dallas while the Jones' own the team. The last coach who had say in personnel was Jimmy Johnson and they won a couple of Super Bowls with him. Jerry got pissed that he didn't get the credit and ever since he has the ultimate say on personnel. Almost opposite of every other situation in the league.

Cowboys also have 2 rookies on the Oline, at Center and LT. Their #2 WR probably wouldn't be in the rotation on most NFL teams. Also no real RB. Their starting RB is probably 50th best in the NFL.

And Ceedee finally decided to get open instead of pouting he gets doubleteamed every play. MI would always find a way to outmuscle the DBs/

Wife ‘s sister and her husband live in Ft. worth and are both State grads. Wife’s sister is a huge Dak fan as are my wife and I. Wife’s sister sez the crap they talk about Dak is unbelievable. IMO there is one common denominator in the cowboys troubles and it isn’t Dak it’s Jerry Jones. I feel bad for Dak for the crap he takes. But with his dollars I would be able take the crap.

Cowboys are in trouble. DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons out for multiple games. Whatever that means. Suspect defense is about to really struggle.

Jerry is not serious about winning. Period.

He said they were "all in" this off season, then proceeded to not make a single impact FA pickup in places of need, unless you count Zeke and Cook, obv. That RB room would've ATE in 2018, lol...

Also Mike's offense is ****ing horrid. No pre-snap motion, hardly any play-action, and terrible WR route concepts....add to that no one can get separation, lol. Dak is so GD accurate, he has the smallest windows in the league so far, and he's still keeping them afloat. Oh, and it looks like the FB...the FULLBACK... is "pass catcher" #3, lol. Holy shit Jerry Jones ****ing sucks. What a total fraud.

I'll add...the Cowboys have won...what, 4 playoff games in the last 25+ years....there's not a single team in the NFL that would remotely tolerate that from their GM....except, you guessed it, the team Jerry owns. Pathetic.

Yep. And passing on Derrick Henry for Zeke will go down as one of the dumbest decisions in football history.

Open your GD eyes, lol. He can't do it all by himself. Just last year he was 2nd team ALL PRO and 2nd place in MVP voting.
He's also won 12 regular season games 3 straight years, and that's despite all the team deficiencies mentioned throughout this thread.

Lol, exactly. Jerry had the audacity to say they couldn't afford him....welp, not only is that obv BS, but adding the fact both CeeDee and Dak could've been extended back in April, which would've saved the team millions. Also, I think they have close to 30 mil in CAP money right now...

Dallas is a soft team and a soft organization. This year however they are softer than usual. There's little Dak can do it seems. That defense looked just as limp as ours did in week 2 and 3.
