They cheat and count their satellite campuses. If we counted Meridian, we'd be bigger. And if we really have been passed by them in just main campus enrollment, that says it all. It should also be grounds for the immediate firing of Keenum and everyone else in senior positions in the university.

OM is counting 7 campuses including UMC. I'm sure other schools probably do similar things, so input little stock in those numbers.
Keenum refuses to expand our reach & would rather just get MS Juco transfers.

When I see this, I think how sad that for our small state we decided to have two universities instead of one powerfully connected university.
Combine ole miss and MSU and you see us at number 2 in enrollment, and a powerhouse historically for all sports. A stadium for football of 100,000.

They are certainly growing, but that number includes UMMC. This data comes from the IHL website (http://www.mississippi.edu/pr/newsstory.asp?ID=1842#:~:text=Fall%20enrollment%20 for%202023%20is,representing%20a%201.8%20percent%2 0increase.) and they specifically note the UofM enrollments with & without UMMC. (fyi, 2024 enrollment figures have yet to be released).

Regardless of who's going where, we have to start embracing out of state students. We shit on them constantly, but it has been a big driver of their national brand. And that was before Kiffin. They have gotten it for so long and we still don't. We'd rather get 100 kids from the Delta when 60% of them will be home after the first semester than get 100 kids from Atlanta, GA. That's the backwards ass thinking that keeps people believing Oxford is this metropolis in Mississippi and Starkville is a two stoplight town with 3 bars.

Those are the correct numbers for Texas and Texas A&M main campuses. They main campuses for both are huge schools.

The full University of Texas system has 14 total schools and around 243,000 total students.

The full Texas A&M system has 11 total schools and around 153,000 total students.
