I know it's still very early in the season and things can turn around, but I can't remember watching an MSU team that looked bad in literally every aspect of the game. Defense is bad, offense is bad, no run game, no D/O line, horrible coaching the list goes on.
The sad thing about this is that we can't keep hiring new coaches so we are stuck with Lebby for at least a few more years. Croom was bad but not this bad, at least his teams played hard, Moorhead wasn't this bad and at this point Arnett looks better. I hate to say it but we may be a bottom feeder in the SEC for the foreseeable future.
Again I know it's early but do you guys think this is the worse our program has looked? When I was a kid Jackie Sherril was our Coach so I don't know how we were before his time but for me this is the worse I think we have looked from top to bottom. The Maine loss was a bad loss but we got man handled in every aspect of the game against Toledo, I dont remember ever seeing that.

I was at MSU at the end of Jackie and the start of Croom.
I saw lots of bad football, but you could tell our players gave effort and at least the defense was decent.
This group has no positives other than we have a QB that can throw it 50 yards and some receivers that can catch.
Doesn't matter when he only has 0.5 seconds to make a decision before he's sacked, because the OL play is so bad.
It doesn't matter what offense we run if we never fix the OL play.
The defense is so bad I'm wondering if we might have a better chance of just letting the other team score on the first play of every possession to give our offense time on the field.
These 7-9 minute drives are killing us because we can't get stops. We had a shot at the end with AZ St if we could just get a stop on defense, but nope let him run 10+ yards running our guys over.

I have been attending since 1969 and paying attention since 1974, this was the worst looking loss I’ve ever seen. But hey just wait, we haven’t even gotten close to the bottom of this shit show. It’s going to be a slow moving train wreck until thanksgiving.

Nah, not slow moving, this train is headed down the track at breakneck speed toward a blown out bridge, with no brakes.

Same place you always start: the lines. Football will always be won and lost in the trenches. Fix that, everything else flows from there.

Two months until basketball I can’t wait. The only thing Cohen did a great job at was hiring Jans

If anyone is holding out hope for any game remaining on our schedule is a glutton for punishment.

I'm definitely looking forward to basketball too. We have a nice looking roster, probably the most talent Jans has had
