This player left his comfortable High School Football team for tougher competition. He left an affluent high school for an inner city program Lincoln High School. Ty Olsen caught 12 passes for 300 yards against the number 3 program in Nevada. Both the athletic secretary and head coach secretary have been given a heads up on Ty Olsen. BTW his grandfather played in the NFL? I have spoken to Ty and his father about Mississippi State Football and they told me that they would love to be at MSU BTW. This is known by MSU Football because I sent the email communication to the program. His quarterback shown on video is Akili Smith Jr. going to Oregon and hopefully to the NFL like his father?

When Reed Blankenship was coming out of high school in Alabama and had no Power 5 offers (Georgia State, Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, etc. were his offers) I sent several emails begging the staff to recruit him. I did not know him, had never met him, but I had stumbled across his film on the internet and could see an NFL safety that no SEC school was offering. That is the only time I have ever encouraged our staff to recruit someone. He went to Middle Tennessee and now starts for the Philadelphia Eagles.
