On mizzou. They lost their best RB in Schrader who was the best RB in the sec in 2023. Lost their DC to LSU. Lost their best DE as 1st rd in nfl draft https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/142/season/2023 ~ looking at their 2023 schedule, Schrader let them in every game and they had 4 games they won by one score. Can mizzou replace him,. Just now looking at their 2024 schedule and it?s incredible how they have 7 nonconf games if you include vandy, ark and south caro. https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/142/season/2024 Oct 5th at TXAM will likely determine if they go to playoffs but I can see TXAM winning that game.
On Texas. They lost three incredible WRs to nfl and one RB to the NFL. They have lost two RBs in camp so far. Lost their dominant DL from last year too to the pros too. However, Ewers is the best returning QB in the SEC. Is Ewers good enough to merit preseason #4 after losing all that 2023 talent? He might be that good though. I can see them having many close games and a very favorable schedule in 2024
On OK. Return most of the WRs and their best RB. Lost their QB to oregon, but Arnold looks pretty good. I think they replaced most of their OL too. their new OC is Littrell who has had big offenses while he was a HC. Most of their D is returning and Venables is a really good D coach. TN, @ Aub, TX, @ OM, @ Mizzou, @ LSU?they will win a few of these swing games and likely be in a few others. I like the combo of Venables with Littrell. Clemson has dropped off big time since Venables left too. seems like people are sleeping on OK.
On OM. Like Mizzou, they lost their best player in Judkins. Actually, I would say Judkins was the best player in the entire portal last year in the entire country. I can?t think of a better player that was in the portal last year. maybe Dillon the QB at Oregon now, maybe. seems like if OM loses 3 or 4 games then eveyone at the end of the season will be saying how did we overlook the impact of losing judkins. Judkins led them in every game and OM won 5 one score games in 2023 all due to him. https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/145/season/2023 I know harris is back at WR but who is their RB in 2024? Amos couldn?t play at USC before Miami OH. Of course, they have a very favorable schedule, but who on this team is going to be help them go 5-0 in one score games again? You know venables and these other DCs can take away Dart?s best WR harris if no RB threat. Again, incredibly favorable schedule though.
LSU. I don?t know how good Nussmeir is and they lost those two WRS to nfl. However, they have good OL(especially Ots) and and new DC from Mizzou. So, maybe they will be better and more balanced. Of course, best alent in the country in louisiana.
On MSU. Thank goodness we have a new QB. It was so awful the last few years.. Leach was bearable but incredibly lazy in that he refused to play someone else besides Rogers (yeah I know great guy yada yada) who is likely going to get beat out by a true fr as UW this year. Anyway, moving on we are going to be very competitive offensively in 5 of our first 6 games (not UGA) and I could see a shootout in any of the last six games. Offense will be fun and more playmakers than we?ve had in a while and we?re going to actually have a fun running game too as lebby says b gap to b gap all day under his watch. Surprisingly, our DL may be better than last year says how bad / depleted our DL was last year. I?d like to see Burnside become a starter at WR pretty quickly as he looked ready in the spring game as he has the body. I think Burnside could be better than Bumpus was as a freshman and I won?t be surprised if he turns out to be the best college player from the state of MS last year even though he was ranked 10 as he is in the best possible situation of all of those top 10 as those DL arent? going to amount to much at OM or AU. https://247sports.com/season/2024-football/RecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=highschool&State=MS The west point RB to FL may be alright too in college, has the body. Ewers TX.
UGA Qb Beck. He?s going to have to play great this year. cant just be really good, but legit great.
Milroe. Freak. he beat Aub and OM last year and had no business doing so but managed to get the W. thank the refs for gift wrapping the SEC championship to Bama on the ?catch? that was clearly dropped on 4th down late in 2Q. refs cost UGA a 3rd natty with that blown call.
Dart / Cook (tie). Same player. How good will they be without a top 2 RB like they had in 2023?
Weigman TXAM ~ Muhammd is back but losing Stewart WR to oregon is probably their biggest blow. I have no idea who their RB which seems crazy. Elko will have him a good D though.
LSU QB Nussmeir. If he struggles without any NFL wrs to throw to LSU in trouble. I really have no idea bout Nussmeir thoguh.
TN QB Nico (unproven). He?s no Hooker but he could be great though. Or he could be milton. Nico?s the main player in the SEC I want to see this year due to all of the hype especially playing in Heupel?s offense . He enrolled early as 5 star and couldn?t beat out Milton is my only early drawback. He has no proven WRs either. It will be all Nico if Tenn does well this year. he may be that good though.
Shapen MSU. He?s thrown 5K yards on D1. Probably will have the best group of WRs he?s ever had to throw to. He?s middle of the pack and maybe higher if limits mistakes. can scoot when he needs to.
OK Arnold. Lot of hype & talent.
FL QB mertz.
KY QB Brock. No more Davis at RB to help either. Still have butter fingers at WR
