We play 6 of the top 8. My word.

Mississippi plays 6 of the bottom 8.

Really need that ASU win but hard to project. They have a returning RB that is nothing special and their projected QB is basically a true freshman transfer from Michigan State. We won't know anything about our team against a scrub, and they have a decent test against Wyoming week 1. There's a decent chance ASU is 0-1.

I like our chances of offense vs their offense just based off nothing. But their offensive numbers last year, even with Jaden Rashada for a few games were pretty pedestrian.

I actually think this game is huge and is the key game on our schedule as of today. It's a must win for any bowl hopes.

If we win it, we can debate Florida or Aggie or Arkansas becoming the biggest game. But as of today it's ASU imo.

Bama over.

Deboer is a good coach and Saban left a program in good shape. Lots of players coming back. Everyone counting them out..... they'll have a chip on their shoulder.

BRUTAL schedule!!!!!!

Second toughest in the conference behind Florida.
But toughest in league games only I believe, because Florida plays top 20 Miami and top 15 Florida state in noncon, not to mention top 30 central Florida.

BRUTAL schedule!!!!!!

Welcome to the SEC. I mean OM has a "easy" schedule. Yet they have Kentucky, who is a nightmare to prepare for. They go to USCe, which is a hornet's nest and Beamer is fighting for his job. An OU team that no one seems to have a great read on, but they have a great QB. And then they have to go to Arky and Florida, which aren't exactly friendly confines for OM. Heck for the Florida game you know there will be rumors of Lane meeting with Florida officials while he's there.

The national media has fallen into the same trap Texas fans have fallen into with SEC schedules. Yea you may perceive them as easy because that team doesn't have a number by their name, but there's no easy games in this league. I mean go back to 2019, LSU played an OM team that was BAD and struggled for 3 and half quarters and couldn't stop the OM rushing attack with 13 much less 11. Heck, go look at us in 2009. We were a 5-7 team and gave every team we played ABSOLUTE HELL for 4 quarters.

I will be very pleased with Lebby if we go 5-7 and beat Ole Miss and look like we did in 2009. That will show there is a good chance we have our next Mullen

Look- I cant stand those guys more than most. I'm hoping for an implosion of legendary proportions. But if Joe Dirt stays healthy for them- they have a chance at 11 wins (10 is most likely). We likely wont play them very close in Grenada Without The Lake. This is the best team they have had in their modern history. This is their 2014 that we had. And of course- they put it together with the expanded playoff whereas we were still in the BCS era

Georgia, Texas, LSU are all going under. SEC is going to beat itself up this year. UGA, TEX, OM each win 10. Bama wins 10, will be decent this year with Saban culture still intact but moving forward won?t be anything like they were under Saban. Coons likely calling for Kelly?s head at end of year.

One thing I have learned about the Egg Bowl is you never know what is going to happen. Unless one team is 2-10 and the other is 9-3 or the QB for one or the other gets injured.

All things considered-we played them pretty well last year without an offense or a head coach. I won't say that we win- especially in Oxford- but we will play our ass off.

Kentucky has a way of coming up with some creative ways to lose to Ole Miss lately. And with Stoops getting jilted on the A&M airplane- who knows how they are going to be. It seems like he is looking around.

They were starting to decline under Saban. He knew it. Georgia passed them by. And he left. I agree that DeBoer will probably win 10. But back in the day so did Ray Perkins, Bill Curry, Gene Stallings, Mike DuBose, Franchione, and Shula. And their fans never really got behind any of them other than maybe Stallings because before Saban none of them were the Bear. I have a feeling that they won't get behind DeBoer for the same reason. They're going to regress back to 1990's 2000's Alabama which is still really good. But not up to their "standard". Which can only be met by a legend like a Bear Bryant or a Saban.

Oh absolutely. Just the fact that all their "tough" games are at home. However, I will say this, one place our schedule benefits us is that all but one of our "toss-ups" are at home. I mean Florida, A&M, and Arky will be the three games that make or break our season. If those were on the road, I would say MAYBE 1-2. I'll put it like this, flip our home and away SEC schedule and I would have a worse outlook for our season. Because we're not beating Texas, UGA, or probably Tennessee no matter where the game is played. So to not waste a prime home game opportunity on a game that is a definite loss is a little fortunate.

I wouldn't count on it too much. Worst case scenario, barring an injury to an impact player, they're 8-4 or 9-3.

Kiffin will lose one game just with his BS going for 4th down crap. Plus, this team wasn't great last year, I don't care what they added, they've still got some holes. I say they lose 3. But that schedule ain't tough either.

I was somewhat under the impression that Kiffin actually toned it back a little last year compared to the previous years and took the points when deep on 4th down (more than in the past imo).

If they go 8-4 with their schedule this year it will be like 2018 for us when we went 8-4. That's a major disappointment for their fans.

Probably because of the circumstances last year. A lot of Ole Miss fans weren't real happy with his Dan Mullen impersonation at the end of 2022.

I actually like the way our schedule sets up. We wouldn’t beat the 4 teams we play on the road at home anyways as those are the 4 best teams on the schedule. We don’t really have the experience to win an SEC road game outside of Vandy and we don’t play them. Playing the 4 teams we play at home are the 4 weakest on the schedule and I think we split those. So the big question then is can we beat AZ State to get us to 6-6. If so I would say it was a success given the situation and then hopefully 2025 Lebby will get us rolling back to at least the Mullen days and hopefully better

Cooterpoot

There goal is solely to get into the playoffs and then see what happens. Give them credit, they get in with two losses probably and will have a chest beating moment. We've been wondering in the wilderness a bit since Mullen left but we haven't been horrible much. We just need to get to that point with Lebby.
