with coach Libby wanting to snap the ball right after the last play was run. Will anything be done when some POS old miss player or other team player falls down and fakes an injury. Have there been any rule changes.

I don't think anything has been done. I might be wrong. Personally, I think when a player hits the turf like that there should be a review and if it is shown the player was signaled by the sideline coach to hit the turf it should be an unsportsmanlike penalty for 15 yards, fresh set of downs and a timeout is charged.

Nothing they can do. It was LSU that started this. Did it against Auburn with Malzahn and ole miss with Freeze. Now it's ole miss doing it more than anyone else, but everybody does it. We've done it.

Don't substitute at all during each series. If the defense can't substitute, they can't prevent you from running a play every 12 seconds. If defensive players start faking it, they will catch on to it. If it happens often enough, they will come up with a rule where the " injured" player will have to sit out the rest of that series. It's coming.

Anyone who is “injured” on defense should have to sit out through the next set of fresh downs for the offense or change of possession, whichever is first.

Rule needs to be that if you are injured to the point where you can?t get off the field you must come out of the game until a change of possession happens.

Unfortunately this rule doesn?t exist yet and there is nothing to stop fake injuries.

Would not work tho. Ole Miss has players drop dead for 20 seconds just to get up fine. It would need to be if you go down at all, not if you cant get off the field

This is how you do it. And it would be so easy to implement.

At the same time, offenses running plays that fast are also taking advantage too. It really is a gimmick and is bending rules to help you. Especially given that you cant play real defense anymore anyways so I see why teams do it.

The "injured" player needs a hard cup check when he comes back into the game.

If a player is injured enough to stop the game he is too injured to play immediately. (Since we are worried about player safety and such) So, if you flop, you sit out several plays to be evaluated, or be charged a timeout if there are any remaining.

Interested to see how that in helmet communication affects the game.

What rules are offenses bending by playing fast?

Not sure how you can do that. So guys cramp, some have stingers, legit injuries that don't linger but a couple of plays , they have to sit out a series?? I get it some are faking. But, not sure how you police it. No coach is going to be in favor of sitting out an entire series. Faking sucks... we agree on that.

I believe there will be no policing.

It also comes down to conditioning. If the injuries are legit because of the speed of the game, then those defensive players are not conditioned well enough. We have a completely new Offensive line. Our offense will fail if they are not conditioned and cohesive.

Rule would state that if the game clock stops due to injury that player must come off the field until a change of possession occurs.

Also I would love to show the ridiculousness of it when we play OM that if they fake a defensive injury, on our next defensive series we have a player ?get injured? swap him out, before the ball gets snapped, we have another player ?get injured? and just do that repetitively before the ball is snapped to show just how ridiculous it is

Would make sense. If you're injured enough for the clock to stop to get you off the field then for the safety of the player you should miss the rest of the series. That's a few minutes at most.
