They didn't have much of a choice. Unless they got really lucky with some portal gems, they are very likely to be the worst (or like bottom 5) of the power 4 teams.

I think our defense will be better than expected and offense not as good as predicted. We will end 5-7 or 6-6 depending on this game I think it’s a big toss up being @ASU

I think we could win 6 games. We win our first 4, take our lumps and can be healthy when we get to Arkansas and UMass, it’s very much a possibility. New fun offense, new staff, new portal players, new attitude…..I’m optimistic for now. No reason to just assume we are going to struggle….right?

They weren't good, but I don't know if I'd say they were the worst P5 team last year. They were 3-9 and lost by 3 to both Cal and Colorado, and 8 to Washington(15-7) in a game they led into the 4th. Win those and you're looking at 6-6 and a bowl. No way was Vandy better than them.

Everyone said the same thing about Arizona too, and they became a legit top 10 team at seasons end. Our fans just assumed that was an automatic W. Yes we won but we had no business winning that game. It was probably the biggest upset we have had in 20 years. Glad Lebby gets 8 quarters before if he is branded a loser though.

Never underestimate the ability of Sunbelt Billy to **** something up. It's him more than the team.
