I like some things from both. I wish we had interlocking on the helmet, block STATE across front, and just the stripes with no MSU on the shoulder.

I think the interlocking looks cooler, but I think the State script is a better identity for us. I feel like that's something uniquely ours that most people can recognize as "State" means Mississippi State, and not just to people in MS. That's powerful to me. Its like Kleenex or Coke being the term for their products no matter the brand.

No chance to vote on Croom's Russell Athletic AL 2.0 uniforms?**** For me, it's interlocking MSU on helmets always. No MState anywhere for FB.

Been advocating for this for years. We need to go all in on branding ourselves as "STATE." The only other big time program (I'm assuming) that uses simply "State" is Michigan State and we don't interact much with them. LSU, FL State, NC State don't much go by "State," not sure about Ok State or Kansas State or Iowa State.

Just can't agree with this. What makes script "State" so unique to us? To me, it does nothing to distinguish us from a dozen or more "States" out there. On the other hand, there aren't that many M-States out there. Bottom line for me, just choose SOMETHING and stick with it!!

We are one of the few that is known simply as "State". As tough as its been for us in the SEC, the SEC brand calling us "State" for a generation has spread it out wider beyond the South. I've never met a soul that calls us "M-State" but I have had someone ask if the M-State stood for Minnesota State.

1998 interlocking are the best uniforms. The font on the front of the jersey is kind of unique sort of like our 1985 baseball uniforms in that I don't know anyone that uses it.
That interlocking MSU is very unique to MSU. It just looks awesome.
If you put me in a locker room and I had my choice to wear any uniform in MSU football history I'm headed straight to the 1998's and I'm not looking back.

Even worse- I have been asked on multiple occasions if it's Ole Miss.

It's funny the dumb none sense arguements y'all make.
Do people go around calling Georgia, "G". Alabama, "A". Tennessee, "T".

This is an AD problem. He has avoided definitive statements on the whole logo thing. Because his goal is to only put merchandise out and create more sales. He has said, once, MState is still the logo but &tate will take a primary roll and skinny MSU is just for the special game last year.
However you have Hadad and his Lemmings that constantly flood message boards and Twitter crying for skinny
MSu and &elmon ignores it all.

Branding the Script State is the best marketing move we have made in a long time. Michigan State is MSU. We're "State"

We can still brand ourselves as state. No one is saying we need to rebrand ourselves. We just want a new helmet sticker.

Well Michigan State used the State Script before we did. Then they went back to the old Spartan head logo.

Now MSU Baseball have used the the state script for at least 65 years

We aren’t marketing to people across the world like Coke or Kleenex. We are marketing to people in Iuka and Sturgis. None of what you said matters on a helmet logo designed to appeal to a fanbase. The people that matter know exactly what the logo is and means.

A helmet logo doesn’t change the overall brand of the school. The script state looks like sh*t on a football helmet. LSU has 3 different logos in 3 different sports. Someone call their marketing guy and tell them to change it.

Exactly. Who cares if a random dude in Wyoming knows what our helmet logo is? The "branding" argument has holes all in it

Yep. Their football helmet logo is from the 60's. And it still looks awesome. Once you get it right stay with it.
Like the MS in baseball

Exactly. Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn, Texas, A&M, Tennessee, Arkansas, etc all have great logos from long ago. They don’t change it because it’s too old. When you have something good you keep it and if the morons before you took it away then you go back to it instead of trying to recreate the wheel just so you can say “look at what I created at this school that I won’t give a damn about in 3 years”.

Yeah. Alabama literally has their uniform numbers on their helmets and a white stripe.
But it looks clean.

I love script State, and think it's a great general logo for us. Problem is, the old Templeton gang refuses to let go of that banner junk, so our brand is split and we continue to suck at doing great things. But, the interlocking is our helmet logo and that should've never changed, just like MoS should never change for baseball. Basketball is flexible with their stuff. I can live with script if they'll banish the damn banner stuff to faculty t shirts and letterhead. I think we still suck at getting good looking uniforms for football. We just refuse to commit to 17ing football.

with this interlocking logo on it. I would encourage everyone that wants this logo to become official, to buy merchandise with it. If the powers that be see what everyone wants, it will bring action to make it our football logo.
