I'm seeing references (including some renderings) to a new indoor facility? Anyone have info? I'll see if I can grab a pic or two.

edit: it's on the Bulldog Blitz Instagram account

IT's Coming

This is overdue, especially for recruiting for football. Palmerio Center should be for baseball/softball only. Even with NIL playing such a big role, you can't tell me recruits don't compare IPF's to other SEC schools.

Leach said we didn't need an IPF even though us and Vandy were the only two SEC schools that didn't have one. Glad we're finally getting this done.

Much needed! I think it will be really beneficial to the team.

I'm guessing that the players can get together and work out together indoors running pass routes and throwing to each in the offseason after working out. Which I would imagine would be much more preferable to do indoors rather than outside in 150 degree Mississippi heat.

Dan Mullen didn't think we needed one either.

Regardless, I've never understood why MSU relied solely on the head football coach saying "Hey we need this."

Does anyone really think that Leach or Dan would have objected if MSU built one even after they said it wasn't needed? I doubt it.

... what with paying players and lawsuit settlement, etc.

Glad to see it, though!

Are we going to see LED lights at Scott Field this fall?

Not quite correct, State has two.

It is correct. We don't have a full sized IPF. One of the few in the P5 that don't have one. It's embarrassing and sad it's taken this long to get it done

Sounds like it will be built on top of the turf field that's right next door to the existing facility, and they will be redoing the weight room and some other aspects of the facility so it will all flow together.

I, personally, think it's an absolute waste of money in the nil era and what's upcoming. But I don't get to decide.

Any chance the Bulldog Club could be sitting on funds and that's what is being utilized? Those funds can't be used for NIL and I imagine they still have a good amount of money coming into the BC (I personbally just do Bulldog Initiative but I have friends that only do Bulldog Club). If so, I'm glad those funds are being used.

The first thing Mullen did at FL was push for completion of an IPF.

My understanding is there will be naming rights involved to cover a good portion of the costs but we'll see.

Dak Prescott Indoor Facility has a nice ring to it.

I think it helps with image with recruits.

It just makes us look "big time". Remember- we're talking about high school kids and when they go to Auburn or Tennessee or even Ole Miss and they see an IPF and we don't have one it makes us look more like La Tech.

Just curious, how many baseball teams have indoor practice fields

Just curious, how many baseball teams have indoor practice fields

Lots of northern teams use indoor facilities of vary types, nothing much out west (facilities don't matter out there), down south there aren't many beyond the football and small indoor areas.
