That just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
Who gets custody of the program when they inevitably get divorced?

John Cohen might end a softball program and a marriage.

That sounds so strange - coHCs? IS that like a 2 headed snake?

Me and my wife have worked together for 32 years and we've enjoyed beging together. Now I do travel out of town fairly often. I would say it's been good for us, but obviously that couldn't work for everyone.

Lol, This is an interesting hire, don't know how that co-hc things gonna work. Kinda like having 2 starting qbs, which generally means you have none.

When my wife and I first got married, we both loved playing sports still. We joined a friends flag football team, and loved it. Then we put together a co-ed adult softball team. We had both played ball through high school, but we had VERY different approaches. She refused to listen to any hitting advice from me. The first time I got her to listen to me, she hit a screamer of a 1 hoper that broke the opposing 3B's nose. She listened to me after that, LOL.

"Oh no, can't imagine anything going awry with that." ****
What's next. Plant a claymore on the warning track for the mascot race.

LOL, Good one Edward. I tried to give some rep - You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to EdwardDrayton again.

I would have no issue being co-head-coach with my wife. As long as she shut up and listened and did it the way I told her, it would work very well. She could even bring the snacks and sandwiches.

Malveaux is a known coach. His wife hasn't coached a lot. It's a reach but schools probably aren't going to invest in softball like they might have in the past until things settle out. Cohen probably likes that they share a Facebook page.

So glad Auburn took him off our hands as AD just wish they had done it before he ran Schaefer off. Now I would take the IB back as our Head baseball coach right now.

Cohen ran Vic off? That’s a piece of info I didn’t know.

It's a long standing rumor that Cohen ran Vic off when it could not be further from the truth. They are both Type A personalities and Vic wanted more and more resources poured into a sport that was losing 2M on average, which is what he should want since it's his program. They were never going to gel. Now he's at Texas, where no one cares what he does and they don't care if he loses 10M a year.

My gosh, that photo of them looks like one of those ironic Olan Mills family portraits from the 80's
