2008 - 2010 is the worst for sure, with a combined SEC record of 24-65.
But 2022 - 2024 is arguably the second worst, combined SEC record of 35-55, 1 Regional appearance with an underachieving flameout.
You could argue for 2009 - 2011, where we went 29-60, but at least we won a Regional and went deep into game 3 of a Super before it slipped away. The only other candidate 3-year stretches would include 2007, when we went to Omaha. Any times with Polk I or even Polk II we had a bad year, we always bounced back quickly, at least to get to the tournament.
So the last 3 years were probably the 2nd worst stretch of our modern history, 3rd worst if we want to be generous. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, that we're just doing what we've typically done - that's inarguably false.
