Gonna need to win vs OM and A&M in the SECT to have a shot to host. Can't be mad at it. We did it to ourselves.

Honestly I think this is about as good as this team is.
I think we will win a regional like that on the road then get pummeled in a Super Regional. Just my opinion.

I personally think the host spot was lost on Saturday. I'm not really sure the committee really weighs in much of anything relative to the SEC tourney as far as hosting and seeding goes. I mean the games we lost we just lost but the one that really kills me is the Saturday Georgia game where the SEC office stole the game from us by suspending every good player we have just because they were out on the field playing defense and on their way in to the dugout when the dust up happened. Just that one game will likely be the difference between hosting or not.

Not necessarily. After the top 16, the rest has to do with geography mostly.

How does Indiana state have a 9 rpi with 77 SOS? Does that mean schedule weak and just win? Flies in the face of some of the thought process of some in here. They played 34 Q3 and Q4 games and was 4-6 in Q1 games. Did good in Q2 games. Someone make it make sense to me.

Typically yes, just win your OOC games and the strength of the SEC will boost your RPI. However, we lost too many WTF games to lesser competition which killed us and then we had too many WTF losses in the SEC which could have negated those losses. This team has shown us this season that they can either go 0-2 and BBQ ina regional or muscle their way into Omaha. Just a matter of our players not doing stupid shit on bases and hitting up to their talent level and for our coaches to not push any WTF buttons

Yeah we definitely screwed ourself. Just demoralizing that Indiana state can host with that schedule but we can’t. Guess it goes to show you that you better not lose to crap teams or don’t schedule them

I mean, nobody schedules those team and expects to lose. If we lost to as many of them as we did you better be glad we didn’t schedule better OOC and midweek games. We would’ve lost more. We laid some eggs in some situations we shouldn’t have. Some of y'all thought we would finish last or barely sneak into a regional. I do understand always wanting to improve. I just thinks it wild to exceed expectations (greatly) and then still get sh!t on by some of our fans.

Actually, this team has shown us they are almost guaranteed to not go 0-2 in a Regional. We haven’t lost both G1 and G2 of a series all season.

I've watched most of the games or kept up with them on apps. This team capable of getting run ruled by ole Miss (oops) or winning 2 at Kentucky. In my opinion, they are too inconsistent to win a road super regional unless some more pieces come together, which Pico and Dohm would help, but Jordan and Hines need to start hitting.

It sounds like it's down to MSU and Oklahoma State for the last spot. So if we win more than they do in their conference tourney we have a decent chance or getting the bid.
