For some reason thought we were on the road this week. Nice surprise when I flipped on the tube and saw The Dude. Wish I was there as well. But taking my son to the Indy 500 next weekend and back to back travel weekends too much for this old body.

As they showed on relay- Hunter's legs kicked inside the baseline and thats why the call was made. In today's softass sports- thats technically illegal and thus the reason for the DP

Dude slid directly in the path of the base. Not even sure if his feet even hit the guy. May have been his shins or knees. His feet were dragging the ground too, so it?s not like he lifted them. I think the crap throw made Hunter slide early and possibly caused Hunter to slide partially sideways. And another thing, why is Bham even turning the call over when the on field ump is directly staring at it 7 feet away??
Bham should be conversing with the on field ump who made the call

I'm not saying I agree with it. Hunter did slide into the base. BUTTTTT- his feet were not straight as his knees bent and went inside at the fielder and he did make contact.

I dont like or agree with the rule- but I can see why they called it after seeing the hind view of his slide

Gotta make sure your feet and ass are perfectly in line from now on. BS call because he didn’t maliciously go after the runner. I guess his feet were 2-3 feet out of baseline that’s as wide as the bases themself. Shit rule

Looked like Hines was trying to avoid hurting the guy. If he slid perfectly straight, the guy might have gotten hurt worse. Oh well. We got the win. These goobers in Bham need to let the call stand unless they are 100% sure.

Can?t argue with this. The officiating in the SEC is poor for the most part across the board. There are a few good crews that are consistent but for it to be a poor as it is in our league sux . With the $$ and revenue production that occurs there is no excuse for the horseshit that happens weekly.

Yeah that stuff never happened, lol! I was a ss and it was just an expected part of the game. You settled it on the field. If guys came in hard I learned to jump and "accidentally" come down on them with my cleats or throw sidearm to make them get down or catch one in the chops. And there was always your pitchers who could send a message as well. It was just part of the game. Everything was settled on the field not in an executive office somewhere

Even if Bama wins the next 2- I dont see a 14-16 Bama in the SEC hosting over us

Duke got a boost beating NC last night
UC Santa Barbara starts their series on the road with 92 RPI Cal St Northridge and then they host 268 RPI UC Riverside for 3 starting Thursday. That will likely drop them behind us.
We'll also get a decent RPI game or two in Hoover also

We will end up either being 5th or 6th in the SEC.
So will have either 1st game of the day vs 11 or last game of the day against 12.

You have LSU, UM, and UF all tied with 11-17 records. So we would end up getting one of those.
UM would be the highest rpi currently at 25, while LSU and UF are 32 and 33.

But RPI wont really matter. we are at 20 and even with a sweep its predicted to drop to 23 now.
