You would think so but for some reason it doesnt land with baseball coaches.

Fall 1990- the top 2 hitters in the Fall were Chris George and juco transfer Hayes. Neither got an AB that Spring. George remained pitching only for a team in 1991 that didnt swing it very well compared to other seasons

We are working the pitch count on a midweek game. Half the lineup looks like they have no interest in hitting until they get two strikes. Even then, we still have players who are looking for a walk.

It's also quite an adjustment to go from 95-98mph all weekend to this crap. No excuses, but it does happen. If someone's never had to do it it's hard to understand.
