I edited... "last 4 bye" is where he has us. Pretty precarious for sure

It is 100% that we need to win a game in the SECT. Give the committee something to lean toward us in a tiebreaker within their mind

Almost an identical spot to last year. Need to win Thursday and root for help. If you somehow beat UT on Friday too that would definitely do it.

Interestingly, we are also IN (as in the very last team in the field) in the latest women's bracketology:
https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/30423107/ncaa-women-bracketology-2024-women-college-basketball-projections

Wouldn't that be something, both teams with back to back NCAA Tournament appearances ... with all 4 of those teams being in the last 4 teams in.

I'd take it. Gives us something to build on and promote even as bad as the regular season finished for both

The handwriting was on the wall when the players recognized for their defense, who played very little offense, also Stopped playing Defense!

I don't really get this "I hope we don't get picked because we don't deserve it!!!" mindset.

If the committee doesn't pick us, they'll just give the bid to some other team with a similar underwhelming resume. It's not like they'll leave out a good team to put us in.

Yeah but other undeserving programs might not have turned bed-crapping into an art-form like Our Program!

Anything can happen if you get in the tournament. Jay Bilas ranted that VCU shouldn't have been in and they made the final 4.

We lost in OT to a good team today. And we lost at the buzzer to the most talented team in the country recently. These teams are familiar with our style.

We have been very good on neutral courts.

I think you nailed it. The we're not happy unless we're not happy people.

Just released one...we're still in last 4 byes. Dawgs, end this losing streak Thursday

To still be considered in the last 4 byes is a shock to say the least. But it benefits us. Take care of business on Thursday and avoid a bunch of chaos during Championship week and we could somehow still be in the last 4 byes. Which weirdly enough could help us because it would put us on the 10 line, which is where I would prefer to be if we cannot get the 8/9 seed in the Memphis pod.

According to lunardi, Indiana st is a last 4 in at the expense of Villanova now

I was going to post that Indiana State would probably be out now because the committee usually isn't very kind to mid-major conference champions who lose in their tournament and want a bid anyway, but with a NET in the 20s, they're probably going to get an at-large.
