Really enjoyed this video. It's funny how some posters would knock on Leach calling his offense the pass version of wishbone and then seeing Mike Leach said the same himself! Man I miss that guy.

Don't Know What You've got Till It's Gone, Cinderella. The offense drove me crazy at times, but he is missed.

Coach was just inducted into the Valdosta State Hall of Fame this past weekend:

"The late Mike Leach was a nationally known college football coach, but he will always be fondly remembered for bringing the "Air Raid" offense to Blazer Nation. Mike is a new inductee into VSU's Athletic Hall of Fame. More about Mike:
--Served as offensive coordinator, quarterback, and receiver coach from 1992-1996
--He and Head Coach Hal Mumme introduced the "Air Raid" offense, guiding VSU football to its first NCAA postseason appearances in 1994 and 1996
--Helped the Blazers finish 3rd nationally in passing at 349.3 yards per game in 1995
--Helped lead VSU to its first league title in 1996
--In his career, Mike spent 21 seasons as a head coach, holding an overall record of 158-107
--Coached at Texas Tech, Washington State, and Mississippi State, and had 16 winning seasons while appearing in 17 bowl games
Thank you for all the memories Coach!

Went to graduate school with him. We were both history buffs and always talked about that. His mom died in early 2022 and my dad passed away end of July of that year. Mike would call or txt and ask about dad and then talked about how he handled losing his mother. He was a genuine gentleman. And enjoyed a good bourbon as much as me.
