Today Was a Big Day for MSU Football

We had a hat party that went our way for an in state WR that Ole Miss wanted badly but maybe more importantly we had two players that showed out in the UA AA Game in Van Buren and Mario Craver.

It's days like this that help change the perception of our recruits for recruiting services. And yes- stars aren't the end all be all but they do help with program perception and that is something MSU desperately needs to improve on.

Because On3 sucks. It dropped MVB over 50 spots the morning after he committed to us. Think about that, a kid is graded X on Monday and the season is over, changes his commitment to another school and within 12 hours is graded X minus 50. I'll let you guess who drove that change. On3 sucks.

247 does the same though, just less blatantly at times. I'd love to know what MVB was rated at the time he committed to Oregon - cause I bet it was at least a 90 if not higher.

So he was an 89 by 247, which is where he remains today.

He was a 94 composite then and is a 91.7 now, so he was dropped significantly by some service other than 247 ( it was On3).

Guess teams on that list give these people the most clicks. Some of the ratings drops certainly don’t make sense either. We need all the momentum and good pub we can get so it stinks when they lower some of our guys for no rhyme or reason.

Welll to be fair Luginbill did say that players like Sayin practiced with Bama during bowl prep and chose not to play in the game.

No matter what we have some football momentum right now in the program. I feel like a solid base as already been established we just need to keep building and somehow try and get to 6 or 7 wins next year. If we can do that, I think we will have a really good class next year.

Yep. Right now it seems like we're the cool team to play for if you are a Mississippi kid. And 2025 has a lot of really good talent in it.
