    Herard...

can't believe I am typing this but can someone beg Herard to finish out the season and then transfer. What's the point of quitting right now he's already played this year so it counts and now we are ****ed for backup while our bigs stay in foul trouble.

He's almost certainly already left, which means he can start playing at his next school in the spring of 2019. That's the benefit of the mid-year transfer.

Does that mean he can redshirt next year and finish spring 2019 as the 2nd half of his soph season? That's awesome for him if so not so awesome for us tho.

As a sophomore still? A would be then redshirt sophomore playing the 2nd semester of his 2nd season.

No - he will be a Jr. You basically lose half of each year instead of a whole one.

I thought if he didn't play in any conference games, he could get a waiver and still be a sophomore...or did I dream that one up?

That seems like a shitty deal for him then. Might as well redshirt the entire year and then have a full junior year in 2019-20.

I thought you were going to say he got a job with a MDOT demolition crew. Could finally put those stone hands to good use.

What this team needs is a damn strength and conditioning coach. We have the physique of a nursing home water aerobics class.
