True, but we should always be grateful to Hunter Henry for keeping the cheaters out of the SEC championship game.

There is a sports management computer game that I have played for years. It's changed some over the various versions but one thing hasn't. When the "board of directors" issues statement saying that they are fully behind you and you have their unqualified support, the next time you lose, they fire you. That is what that video reminded me of.

He will get as much as he's willing to push for. Unless they are getting the death penalty, trying to get cheap with the guy that literally knows where all the dead bodies are would be incredibly stupid. Freeze probably isn't coaching in the NCAA again regardless. Whether he goes quietly or not, he's probably not going to be treated well by Ole Miss alums after the penalties come down. The only thing that would keep him from going scorched earth on them is him trying to salvage some of his reputation as a godly man. But if news is going to break that would ruin that reputation regardless, there is no reason for him to not take the position that he did exactly what they asked and they are going to pay him his full contract or he is going to cooperate with the NCAA.

Why would he not be treated well? This is the same school that still inducted Billy Brewer into their sports hall of fame after he got them crippling sanctions on two different occasions.

So what are we hearing? Not gonna happen looks like.
-
He's not resigning. At least not yet. Probably trying to work out the money.
-
If it was going to happen today, it would've been out already.
-
You would think if this did happen they would call for a press conference at a certain time to allow reporters to assemble...unless they like the video routine now. Boy would that be making a statement.
-
They're probably trying to figure out how to win this press conference.
Truth be told, that presser is coming. Whether it's today or 2 months from now is irrelevant. The likelihood of him being on the sidelines come game 1 is close to 0%. They better have one hell of a rabbit to pull out of their hat...

I think he will probably coach this year. I'd put it at about a 75% chance he's still there Game 1. It's this time next year that he has about a 0% chance of still being their coach.
The university response and sanctions process will take months. If they haven't fired him yet, they're not going to until that process is over.

Just as I thought, IT ain't coming today. If you make a prediction like this folks, it damn sure better come true or your shit is toast with me.

But hey, they got a bunch of clicks on a slow Sunday....

They've got Matt Luke. Bearing the first and last name of apostles, how could he possibly go wrong?! LMAO That plus camping out in Reed's driveway everyday (against NCAA rules!) and orchestrating the hat toss - he's tailor made for Ole Miss.

1 hour to go. Surely the OP should be banned if this turns out to be false?

Don't they meet with the board about penalties this summer or is it pushed out again because of the amendment to the NOA?

Harsh lesson to learn. No one wants to be in Hot Rock's dog house.

This is a two fold problem and they have two options:
1) Fire him now. You are probably doing this to help sanctions levied by the NCAA. Good move, except who is gonna take your job? You aren't getting a good HC.
2) Keep him, but take the harsher penalties. And to me this one makes more sense to OM. He knows the network and how it functions, which means he knows better than anyone how to modify it to not get caught in the future. It's too big an operation to shut down, so they will just modify how it operates. What better person to spearhead that than Freeze? Plus, instead of paying players all the involved boosters will now just send their money to the university to expedite the initial recovery process.
Now the only wrench here in plan 2 would be a Freeze show cause. That screws them big time. But they weren't going to a good bowl the next two years anyways. Why not keep Freeze in place, take the extra penalties, and just modify the network with Freeze in charge? Logistically that to me makes the most sense for them.

Atleast a week vacation is warranted. Don't make a statement as fact unless you know it to be so.
