After many emails & phone calls. I've decided to attend Miss State next fall. Excited to be a Bulldog 🏈 #HailState

Got more info? This is great news!

Says class of 2015. Huge for this fall.
-
Maybe Im reading too much into this, but I would assume he is walk on.
I swear, as loaded as our team is, if we lose a game this year because of missed short field goals, Im going to lose my mind.
-
Yeah but can he shank a kick off out of bounds?
-
I've watched a couple videos of him kicking, the kid looks awesome.
-
He is a walk on. One of the top kickers in the class
-
Without even watching the video he's got a Kicker name. Hopefully he's a good one.

5'10" 150? NAFOOM says our 'roids program will have him to 225 in no time.
-
At 5'10 150 he's about as big as that Graves kid.
-
soccer kid who has played 1 year of football. He's going to get a lot better with some technical coaching.

Any concerns of kicking off turf instead of grass?

Love me some Jackie, but I had much rather he go to a Jamie Kohl or another high level coach like that. Kicking is just too specialized and being a great special teams coach has nothing to do with teaching technique. Although Jackie was good on the mental aspects as such.

you'd think that would make it easier... more consistent footing and placement.

I've wondered why we don't send our specialists to camps like that. QBs go to the Manning camp, to work with that guy in California, etc... We should do the same thing with our K's/P's/Snappers. I'd rather them be there working than kicking balls unsupervised on the practice filed next to summer work outs.
