2018 FB schedule
Bulldogs 2018 football schedule has been unofficially* released today, meaning our athletic site released it by accident.
9/1 Stephen F. Austin
9/8 @Kansas State
9/15 Louisiana Lafayette
9/22 @Kentucky
9/29 Florida
10/6 Auburn
10/13 BYE
10/20 @LSU
10/27 Texas A&M
11/3 Louisiana Tech
11/10 @Alabama
11/17 Arkansas
11/22 (Thanksgiving) @Ole Miss
That's a pretty brutal schedule if you ask me.

Love having Kansas St. added to the schedule, but yeah, it's tough to play a road slate including them, Bama, LSU, and OM.
But I don't think it's too bad overall. I'd rather have Florida on the schedule than Georgia for sure.

That schedule is AWESOME!!!! Tough games, but the order of them is nice.
Florida & Auburn at home on back to back weeks is a chance for Game Day twice.
The LSU game is in a good spot, & we have an easy week the week before going to Bama.
I think this is a great schedule. I don't see a 3 game gauntlet like we are playing this season.

Auburn and Florida will be badddd overrated going into next year, so embarrassing them during the early portion of the season will be great.
-
Playing the Cats so early feels wierd. Haven't seen that since game 2 in the Tim Couch days.
The Liberation will not be televised--- when it arrives like lightning in the skies!
-
I like moving LSU later in the year too.
-
This is a great schedule setup.
-
Having a bye before we go to LSU is great too.
-
Half of those teams could have a new coach next year...

Thoughts:
At KSU will be one of our toughest OOC games in a while I think.
The spacing is great. Cupcake, KSU, cupcake, @UK, then FLorida and Auburn at home, then a buy week to recover from two tough games. @LSU, then A&M at home, then La Tech for a sort of break before Bama, then the traditional three game gauntlet to finish (although the last game probably won't be the normal part of that gauntlet).
A lot of how tough next year's schedule will be will depend on A&M. A&M's next coach will probably inherit some talent. That could be a one year turn aruond job. If they're good, obviously the schedule is that much harder.
Could be lots of changes before next year, but that looks like a great schedule for a big year. Lots of teams solid enough to get respect, but Bama is the only given. I don't expect it, but it could be Bama and a lot of solid teams without another really good team to play.

Tougher teams, easier home schedule.
-
I don't see the SEC championship game on there......
We're gonna need to reserve that date

I like it. Off week at the right time. Cupcakes early and late instead of front loading them. Tough teams are spread out. The only better thing would be for Vandy to roll onto the schedule instead of Florida.

Or preferably Mizzou or SCar- Vandy is a top 3 East team this year.

Is the Lafayette game in 2019 in New Orleans?

I love it! It sets up great! Fun OOC game with KSU. Floor for the first half is 5-1. Then a bye week before LSU and a glorified scrimmage before Bama. Easy 4-2 floor for the seond half. We are at worst a 9-3 team with that schedule. With a realistic shot at 11-1.
It's VERY rare that we get that kind of setup.
