Once again, we were never going to get him. I knew that when he was a junior,and tried to tell y'all. It was always a Bama or Ole Miss. He was NOT going to MSU. We have never had a lock on highly recruited kids from Starkville. We get about half of them historically.

Historically there has not been a good town and gown relationship with Starkville. That is slowly changing but historically Starkville has basically resented the college. It's stupid on Starkville's part. Starkville without MSU is Aberdeen.

Yeah. probably one of the most ridiculous things about Starkville.

I think playing football games on campus rather than in Jackson has made a huge difference because so many alumni now have condos & 2nd homes in Starkville, which has changed the voter base

Agree, it's changing. The last 10 years have been unreal. Starkville ought to chip in to give Mullen a raise. I'm serious there. Mullen has done more for Starkville than perhaps any individual in its history.
