They may miss out entirely. We really need them to win though

This. By my recollection, only 2 SEC teams with a losing conference record have ever gotten an at-large bid. (Alabama and Arkansas both got in at 7-9 in the 00s. I didn't go through every year of standings to see if I missed any.)
Texas A&M is more likely to be 6-12 than 9-9 and I'm skeptical they'll end up making the tournament at all noww.

If we go 11-7 in the SEC- we are in the NCAA Tourney. End of story

Actually we don't. They'll stay a Q1 win for us even at 6-12. And them missing the tournament altogether opens up one more space for us. I hope they, Kentucky, and Florida all end up in the NIT.

Is a Q1 win vs a team with an rpi of 50ish as good as an rpi team in the 20s?

Thanks, Ace. Maybe it is ... if A&M is a 6 seed.

And if we finish #4 in the league we are already in the quarterfinals Which means lot of the other bubble teams outside of Aub and Tenn are going to be knocking each other out early.
Shit TAM might be playing day 1.

Do they look at the exact number, or is Q1 still Q1. Either way, just win out and we’ll remove all doubt

He played good, but not great. Now Ado - he’s a beast.

Peters had 15, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds. He is the straw that stirs the drink

Theoretically we should prefer Alabama and Vanderbilt to beat A&M because we played those teams twice and A&M only once, so it would tease up the SOS number in our RPI, but I think the effect is pretty small. Also we could play A&M in St. Louis and have it all be moot.

Also Vandy could get into the RPI top 75 by winning out, making our loss to them Q1 instead of Q2. But who knows if the committee would even care about that.

Thank you. I agree with that.
A&M has lost 3 in a row now. They seem to be anything but a lock to me at this point. And like some have pointed out, they didn't really play inspired tonight. We did.
